Roberto Cavalli took nature-inspired theme for his pre-fall 2015 collection. From mulberries and flowers to snakes and eclectic light graphics, the collection took us back the retro look of the seventies.

While the looks were kept mostly sporty and street style glamorous, there was a dash of elegance that each garment carried. The wearability could be defined exclusive for some exotic evening wear, including sleek dresses, leather sweatshirts, zipper jackets and casual free flowing gowns.

Also, the designer didn’t experiment much with the colour palette, featuring only the basic shades of white, black and grey embellished with subtle coloured prints and on-surface textures.

2The Italian fashion house Salvatore Ferragamo launches an online series of photographs and films titled ‘A Man’s Story’ that highlights the idea of making one’s own rules. For the project, the brand joined hands with multiple artists like A$AP Rocky, New York Rangers’ Henrik Lundqvist, photographer Ryan McGinley and entrepreneur Louis-Maris de Castelbajac to name a few.

With creative direction from Massimiliano Giornetti, the film has been conceived and shot by photographer and filmmaker Francesco Carrozzini. It foretells a new story of a Ferragamo man, the one that has evolved and transformed with time. It features the importance of self-awareness and self-consciousness in man’s life told by an eclectic cast of contemporary men.

Well, the brand aims to capture the Ferragamo’s personal life mantra, his own beliefs and ideologies through the series. The designer, who emigrated from southern Italy to Boston in 1914, set out to California to create his own made-to-measure shoe-making service. Within five years, the brand became a must-have for Hollywood stars.

Thus, this film encapsulates Ferragamo’s luxury lifestyle collections which are presented in new and surprising settings.

The British super model Naomi Campbell launched a pop store-titled Fashion for Relief-in East London to raise awareness of the spread of the deadly Ebola disease.

The store comprises of party dresses, glittery high heels and other pieces donated by designers and friends. It will be open for an entire week at the Westfield shopping centre and will look forward to raise sufficient funds for Ebola and its awareness along with offering exquisite designer pieces at affordable prices.

580Showing their willing support for the cause were Tinie Tempah and Idris Elba amongst numerous other fashion icons present during the launch with Campbell.

Well, where raising awareness about this rapidly spreading disease and educating about its prevention is a crucial need of the hour, Cambell’s effort to open this pop up is truly welcomed and highly desirable.

One of Victoria Beckham’s first orders will be sold at her London store and at victoriabeckham.com. All proceeds will go to the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS to support their efforts in ending the AIDS epidemic by 2030.

11The big night of the magnificent British Fashion Awards 2014 finally hit the grounds on Monday, 1st December at the London Coliseum. The evening saw as many as 2000 faces from the fashion industry celebrating its success over the past years, including guests like Samantha Cameron, Anna Wintour OBE, Valentino Garavani, Naomi Campbell, Kate Moss, Harry Styles, Lewis Hamilton, Lana del Rey and Courtney Love to name a few.

Amongst the numerous other honourees, late Central Saint Martins’ Professor Louise Wilson was also paid tribute during the ceremony wherein models wore looks by designers she had taught at Central Saint Martins, including Christopher Kane and Mary Katrantzou.

Jacqueline Fernandez wore a Gucci Women’s Fall Winter 2014  Dark cherry bonded light techno cady sleeveless dress with leather top and Women’s Pre Fall 2014 high heel platform sandals in black suede at a recent race event in Mumbai.

Check prints, oversized fits and structured silhouettes with a blend of urban contemporary and hippie is what Tory Burch Pre-fall 2015 is all about.

Where on one hand elegant sophistication seemed to be the designer’s utmost priority, there on the other, he also managed to keep the garments look simplistic yet adorned with a dash of glamour. Also, the scheme of colours went in absolute harmony with the underlying theme of the collection, including basic shades of classic blue, wheat, woody brown, nude and beige.

Big collared short jacket paired with coordinating scarlet shorts and luscious burgundy boots was the star highlighting look of the entire collection.

All in all, the collection offered quite a few novel styles with complementing embellishments to grace our wardrobes this fall.
