This Delhi based innovative and experimenting designer graduated from NIFT, Delhi and believes in breaking the usual stereotypes to create a defined look with a sense of Indian-ness, yet with a very contemporary and an international appeal. He curated his ethnic label, ‘Nappa Dori’ in 2010, which comprises of fashion and travel accessories, belts, bracelet bags, home accessories and many more.

Speaking of his early years with the fashion industry, Gautam worked as a product designer for an export house for two years and gained momentous experience. Thereafter, he set up a ‘Definite Design’ in 2004 and exported leather belts and hotel amenities, designed in-room dinning collateral for some of the luxury hotels across the world such as the Ritz Carlton Dubai, One & Only Resorts, Hilton and Fairmount Hotels.

Meanwhile, the label offers a unique blend of designing and craftsmanship. Using Leather as the primary component for designing his creations, the designer draws inspiration from the period of British Raj in the country and the fusion of designs prevalent during that period. Moreover, the label is also replete of a great amount of sophisticated embellishments and detailing.

Over the years, Gautam has come a long way with his label, which includes his participation in high-ending platforms like the Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and Lakme Fashion Week. These portals have not only enhanced the skills for the designers but also helped in climbing up stares in the glitz and the glamour of fashion world.

Presently, he retails his collection from his exclusive studios in Hauz Khas Village, Shahpur Jat, Meherchand Market and other refined markets of New Delhi. His collection is also available on the acclaimed online shopping store Pernia’s Pop Up Shop.

Gucci unveiled house’s latest short film, inspired by the Prefall 2014 Bright Diamante leather goods collection. Shot in London, the new film revolves around the collection’s bold, bright colors and tells of a surprising outcome when all the brights unexpectedly collide together.

Featuring the song “Double Edge” (GeRM Remix) by Emika, the short film recalls the rubik’s cube with its puzzling game of color coordination. Bumblebee yellow, fuchsia, deep cobalt, red, turquoise, and white all announce the upcoming season where Gucci’s leather goods feature a wide variety of novel brights – from handbags including the bucket-style shoulder bag, the clutch, the top-handle tote, bowling bags, and the Boston bag, to luggage such as duffle bags, trunks, and trolleys.

Stella McCartney took everybody to a mesmerising fantasy world for showcasing her Resort Wear collection. Held at Manhattan’s Elizabeth Street Garden, McCartney accompanied the display of her collection along with her own personalised add-ons like human statues, a bossa nova band, and sprite like models frolicking between the ferns in her designs to name a few.

With the event, McCartney took steps forward for her parties for resort to become a full-fledged tradition, where this year’s celebration seemed influenced by the designer’s collaboration with Disney, for a capsule collection inspired by Angelina Jolie’s ‘Maleficent’.

Participating at the celebration, gracing the evening with presence were glitterati people like Liv Tyler, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Amber Heard, Lucy Liu, Jessica Seinfeld and Cara Delevingne, artists Kara Walker and Jeff Koons; the photographers Nan Goldin, Peter Beard and Marilyn Minter, and the musician Aluna Francis among others.

This designer possesses a thirst and passion for art and designing. She pursued a diploma in fashion designing from the JJ School of art in 1984. In her words, designing is an amalgamation of line, form, colour and texture. She began her career in 1986 by holding multiple shows and exhibitions for her creations. Thereafter, she brand named her label as ‘Insilks’ and began exporting her collections to London, USA, South Africa and Kuwait.

Speaking of her creations, the designer believes in experimenting with Indo-western silhouettes and discovering unusual colour combinations. She draws great amount of inspiration from Indian history, its traditions and cultures and displays them effectively through her couture wear. Some of her creations those were widely awe-inspiring were, ‘The Paul Klee Line’, indo-western line replete of artistic work on the garments, ‘Colours of Life’, indo-western line replete of numerous unique colour combinations, and many more.

Meanwhile, the designer’s early years include her first collection being launched in 1994, where she designed for the luxury fashion store, ‘Melange’. After spending a lot of time and hard work for her creations, she marked the milestone of her career by participating in the high-ending platform, Lakme Fashion Week, which enabled her to promote her collection in the mainstream fashion world.

Presently, she retails her collections from designer stores like Ensemble and Shopper’s Stop in Mumbai and Delhi, Sosa’s in Goa, Oorja, Elahe, Stanza and Origins in Hyderabad, Saffron in Pune and Melange in Mumbai.

The Italian luxury fashion house, Fendi takes a step forward with technology and launches an all new mobile application called ‘MyBaguette’ which enables the buyers to create their own personalised hand bags, according to their personal preferences. The app comes after seven years, following the brand’s iconic Baguette hand bag and its customised canvas versions failing to enthral the customers.

Speaking of the use of ‘MyBaguette’, the app consists of several editing tools, brushes, colours and filters along with opacity and saturation options. It starts with a blank white baguette, which can be transformed according to needs and the choices of the buyer exclusively. The concluded virtual version of the bag is then forwarded to Fendi, which displays the same baguette in the ‘Community’ section of the app. As a part of incentives and to attract more users for the app, designer Silvia Venturini Fendi selects a ‘Baguette of the month’.

Furthermore, what is even more awe-inspiring is the fact that the fashion house associated with artists like Tom Sachs, Michelangelo Pistoletto, Richard Prince, Lucy and Jorge Orta, Hiroshi Senju and Francesco Vezzoli to create some real bags from the app.

Vero Moda reached the fashion enthusiasts of Delhi by opening a sprawling two storied store at Khan Market. Spread across an impressive 2400 Sq ft, the store gives the customers an inviting, distinct and stylish fashion experience. The white interiors and the classy fixtures and flooring redefine the concept of shopping by highlighting the various looks that the brand puts together every season.
