23 year old Dr Anugya Sharma from Surat will represent India at Miss India –Worldwide to be held at Dubai on June 20 where 40 winner contestants of Indian origin from 40 countries across the globe will take part and vie for the coveted title.

Dr Anugya Sharma, a freelance model born in Surat, Gujarat  and presently settled in Pune crowned Miss India Worldwide India 2014 at a function held at Pune. Nine  girls representing the length n breath of the country were judged by an elite panel of judges that comprised ofSandeep Soparkar- International Choreographer,Anjali Gupta- Actress, Tehseen Poonawala- Political analyst n Socialite Ms. Gioconda- International opera singer and Dr. Anuj Saxena.

Starbucks, the American coffee house chain collaborates with Los Angeles based brand, ‘Band of Outsiders’ for a collection of two exclusive Ceramic mugs. Featuring a black paint dripping on the signature Starbucks coffee mug, the designs are an exclusive tribute paid to the coffee house’s founder Scott Sternberg, who has ‘drip’ as a personal favourite slang term for coffee.

Conceived by Steven Kolb, CEO of Council of Fashion Designers of America, the collaboration marks Starbucks’ fifth association with designers, following Jonathan Adler, Rodarte, Charlotte Ronson and Stacey Bendet of Alice + Olivia.

The mugs will be available from the 10th of June in as many 9,000 Starbucks store across the world, and will be retailed at $14.95 in the U.S.A. and $16.95 in Canada.

This Delhi based designer believes in working with passion, hard-work and delivering the best of her creativity. In 2006, she graduated from the prestigious National Institute of Fashion Technology and developed the required maturity for her creations and styling. She launched her unisex label, ‘the miraj’ in 2008.

Speaking of her early years, the designer gained a momentous experience of three years in garment export and fashion industry with acclaimed names like Hudson, Maya Exports and Libaas (Ranna Gill). This concluded to ‘the miraj’, a label replete of cool, casual and comfortable garments with unique embellishments, inspired from nature and its elements, and the deserts in particular.

For her couture collection, the designer draws great inspiration from ancient Rajasthani designs, which is also her speciality. Besides, the designer is currently a recognised Preliminary Member of the Fashion Design Council of India.

However, her collection can be found at her personal fashion Studio-cum-office in Malviya Nagar in New Delhi and DT Mega Mall in Gurgaon.

The German Luxury Label is out with its Fall Winter Campaign for 2015, the first under its new creative director, Jason Wu. Shot by photography giants Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, the campaign features Edie Campbell as the face of its Womenswear and Scott Eastwood for Menswear.

‘New Balance’, the trainer giant recently filed a lawsuit against Karl Lagerfeld’s label, regarding a pair of trainers that the latter has styles in a similar fashion to the former.

The pair of shoes is both designed in a contrast of black and white, where one features a tilted ‘N’ while the other features a tilted ‘K’. According to New Balance, the design is the brand’s personal ‘574’ style which has been unlawfully copied by Lagerfeld.

According to the Boston, USA based sportswear purveyor, Lagerfeld’s line has been creating confusion amongst customers, wherein New Balance rigorously looks forward to defend its brand and its innate styles.

Meanwhile, Lagerfeld’s company is still to deliver an answer about the lawsuit.

A tribute to the late musician, film director, writer, photographer and a revolutionary activist, Gordon Parks Foundation awards gala this year honoured Vera Wang, Irvin Mayfield, Lorna Simpson, Ed Zwick, George Lucas and Mellody Hobson, who also got the opportunity to mesmerise themselves with Parks’ excellent pieces of art works.
