With designers Katie Hillier and Luella Bartley creating their first collection for Marc by Marc Jacobs, the resort 2015 collection for the brand is all about portraying the not so feminine and strong attributes in women.

Replete of floral dresses and flared skirts, the creations included ill fitted dresses, ranging from full sleeved jumpsuits, shirts paired with trousers, tunic styled dresses, and long shirts paired with capris trousers among others. Keeping away from the conventional feminine look of the ensembles, the silhouettes were kept cool and clean in fabrics like nylon and cotton. Embellishments were minimal, including sleek high waist belts, zippers and funky prints. Colour combinations were both loud and mild, ranging from dark grey with ivory blue to bright yellow with blue floral prints.

All in all, the collection was a sure short sway from the traditional styling of Marc Jacobs as a brand.
