Jaeger-LeCoultre honored Rob Reiner as the recipient of the 41st Annual Chaplin Award in New York.
Carmen Chaplin, Charlie Chaplin’s granddaughter, attended the prestigious Gala to pay tribute to her grandfather whose talent made its mark on history, and was the first emblematic figure of Cinema to be awarded by the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

The celebration was attended by a host of notable guests honoring the legend culminating with the presentation of The Chaplin Award by Martin Scorsese. The evening’s proceedings also included appearances by Billy Crystal, Michael Douglas, Michael McKean, Meg Ryan.

A unique photographic exhibition “Chaplin Forever!”, retracing the most famous moments of the beloved actor and producer’s career was also inaugurated at the Film Society of Lincoln Center.

Where the rivalry between two giants in the beverage industry, Coca Cola and Pepsi, has been going on for decades, the brands intensify it further as they mark their entries in the fashion arena.

However, Diet Coke has already embarked its entry in the industry by creating garments with their logos and has collaborated with OPI on a collection inspired by the company’s most iconic beverages, including classic Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite and Fanta.

Giving it a cut throat competition, Pepsi will soon be releasing its first capsule collection, and will collaborate with fashion labels like Del Toro, Original Penguin by Munsingwear and Bang & Olufsen on a range of 60 pieces.

With a collection  geared towards men, comprising of tees, hoodies, sneakers, baseball caps and more to be sold at Bloomingdale’s and online, the brand has also been previously associated with the music industry and has been associated with singers like Britnery Spears and Niki Minaj.

In an attempt to empower the underprivileged and bring their cause to the mainstream, muralist Rouble Nagi and actress-entrepreneur Sushmita Sen joined hands to co-host a Power Luncheon for Women on 30th April in Mumbai.

Where Rouble is known for ‘Rouble Nagi Art Foundation’, Sushmita Sen has also made a difference with her ‘I AM’ Foundation. Sushmita has always been popular for her volunteering attitude regarding events for and with a cause, and Rouble has been continuously working to help the under-privileged students achieve their dreams through her art camps. The artist has also offered a helping hand in bringing five social organizations together for a noble cause.

The luncheon was comprised of discussions including the education of these kids along with a number of other NGO heads. Offering their support, present at the event were Malaika Khan, Zarine Khan, Aditi Deshmukh, Wardha Nadiadwala, Ameesha Patel, Reshma Merchant, Shaheen Abbas, Priti Mehta, Rinaa Shah, Shailaja Patil, Roopa Vohra, Sangeeta Singh, Kiran Bawa, Nazneen Bedi and others.

Fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana were found guilty on charges of hiding hundreds of millions of euros from Italian tax authorities. Each of them is given a reduced sentence of 18 months in jail on Wednesday against the previous decision, by a lower court, handed them jail sentences of 20 months each and imposed a fine of up to €10m.

Avoidance of the payments in Italy, where corporate taxes are among the highest in Europe, the case stems from an investigation that began in 2008 when Italian tax authorities stepped up their fight against tax evasion as a global financial crisis began to bite.

Massimo Dinoia, a lawyer for Dolce and Gabbana, who have always denied the charges, said, the judgment is inexplicable and we will appeal.

This designer has a strong belief for story-telling and expression. He graduated from NIFT Kolkata and won the award for Best Collection in 2008. He started his career as a designer in an export house earlier, and after gaining momentous amount of experience, he curated his unisex label, ‘Theorem’ which is comprised of luxury leather handbags, wallets, garments and accessories.

His early years of experience include trainings and internships under renowned designers and leading fashion brands, which concluded to the fine quality that he provides his customers with, in Theorem. The label effectively portrays that one’s subconscious mind has the ability to let deeper thoughts lying in the mind’s fold resurface to the fore and contemplate about them in ‘Detail’.

Besides, the designer has also been privileged by getting his collection featured in acclaimed fashion magazines like Elle and Grazia. He has also been a part of the grand platform like Lakme Fashion Week for two years. Having showcased his collection in seasons like Autumn Winter 2013 and Summer Resort 2014 under the Gen-Next category, the designer has vastly exhilarated the onlookers and the fashionistas with his exclusive collections.

With his collection being found on online portals like behance.net, the designer now looks forward to further such platforms and filling the fashion arena with his long lasting glamorous collections under his label.

Tarun Tahiliani will house Dinsha and Munchi Shroff, The Ancestry Antiques Gallery within the grandeur of its couture studio in Chattarpur, New Delhi. The Ancestry Antiques Gallery will showcase coveted objects d’art collected by Dinsha and Munchi Shroff, also known as the ‘Osler twins’ for their vast range of crystal furniture and chandeliers by F&C Osler.

The two established the Ancestry antiques store in Mumbai in 1995 and have been supplying rare antiquities to elite establishments and homes around India and the Gulf since. Both Ancestry and their store in Dubai, the Royal Treasures Gallery, feature the finest inOriental wooden furniture, European and Chinese crystal artefacts and antiques, Baccarat chandeliers and of course, the prized legacy of the world’s finest F&C Osler chandeliers.

The Ancestry Antiques Gallery will be presenting the Shroff’s collection of antiques with pedigree lineage and undoubtable artistic value that would appeal to any antiques aficionado.

Posen was back in Toronto for a special fashion show at The Carlu in Toronto, Canada being hosted by philanthropist Suzanne Rogers, with proceeds benefiting Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital and Boost Child Abuse Prevention and Intervention.

The designer was the guest of honor at the 400-person black-tie affair that raised $800,000 for children’s charities. Coco Rocha was the model of the moment as she walked in a midnight blue taffeta strapless gown which swished as she twirled around at the end of the runway, showing off the Zac Posen Spring 2014.
