The Indian unisex fashion house marked yet another legendary event in Delhi, synonymous with the city’s best curated parties, by launching its all new flagship store, ‘bhane.WIP’, with an extravagant three-day music day festival. Collaborating with the global iconic brand ABSOLUT, the festival included performances from upcoming Indian artists and featured the country’s leading designers.

A perfect launch to the store, the event included performances of artists like Frame/Frame, Curtain Blue, Madstarbase, When Pandas Attack, Moniker and the incredible DJ Mocity. A distinctive store that infuses the design sensibilities of twenty four celebrated names in the world of fashion, DVAR features the best of haute couture, bridal, ethnic and contemporary wear.

The store will be replete of collections from designers like Arpita Mehta, Amit GT, Aarti Vijay Gupta, Anju Sant Kumar, Charu Parashar, and Deepika Govind along with exclusive range of accessories, handbags and clutches from other ace designers.

Meanwhile, DVAR is designed with an effective inspiration from design styles practiced in the meccas of fashion Milan and Paris. It also houses a beautiful bridal lounge that offers traditional lehengas, Indianised gowns and anarkallis to suit every shape.

Also, to quote its add on unique feature, DVAR will celebrate one Indian Designer who has flavoured seasons with their creations and made a name for themselves across the world, with Amit GT as its first Designer of the month.

To sum up, gracing the evening with their presence were celebrities like Payal Rohatgi, Ragini Khanna, socialite Aarti Surendranath, Schauna Chauhan, Kunal Kapoor, Naina Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan among others.

Epitomising modern Indian glamour, sister-in-laws and designer duo Gari and Radhika Tandon together curated their niche jewellery brand ‘ISHARYA’. Founded in 2004, the brand focuses on blending California chic aesthetic with Bollywood glam. Inspired by India’s intricate and vibrant style, Isharya blends modern techniques with heirloom details to create on trend, high quality jewellery that is provocative and sophisticated, yet available at accessible price points.

The next generation of daring designers boldly defined the future of fashion at the 80th anniversary of School of Art Institute, Chicago. For years, SAIC Fashion students have surprised, amazed, and thrilled audiences by combining painting, sculpture, performance, sound, body, installation, and technology into a spectacular multimedia show presented throughout the day and culminating with the graduation show gala benefit supporting student scholarships.

To honor the anniversary, performance artist, fashion influencer, and SAIC educator Nick Cave received the Legend of Fashion Award for his excellence and expertise within the SAIC community and in the fashion world at large. In addition to an electrifying runway show that incorporated techniques from the fields of sculpture, performance, design, technology, architecture, and installation to create one-of-a-kind looks, SAIC faculty member Nick Cave revealed a layered, multimedia performance of “dismantled style, deep ritual, and street ruff”—a new hybrid appearing in suspense and truth.

Notable guests at THE WALK, included award-winning designers Kate and Laura Mulleavy, designer Jason Wu, J.Crew Creative Director Jenna Lyons, Paper magazine editorial director Mickey Boardman, clothier Ikram Goldman, Johnson Publishing Company Chairman Linda Johnson Rice and CEO Desirée Rogers, designers and SAIC alumni Cynthia Rowley and Maria Pinto, artist and SAIC faculty member Nick Cave, New York magazine critic Jerry Saltz, Ebony editor-in-chief Amy Dubois Barnett, and many others.

Designer Mandira Bedi looked lovely in the long black and bright fuchsia Veda Raheja gown, the plunging neckline and silhouette worked beautifully gorgeous Mandira. She kept her accessories to a minimal and completed her look with a clutch and a short pixie hairdo.
