A film Project by Willy Venderperre and creative director Kriss Van Assche with Jamie xx’s Stranger In a Room is Dior Homme’s 2016 summer campaign. It is an intimate and piercing portrayal of personalities for tenth season. Here, singer and lyricist Oliver Sim, actor Alain-Fabien Delon, artist Rinus Van de Velde and model Victor Nylander play versions of themselves in a longstanding collaborative project between the brand’s creative director and photographer.

Van Assche commented, “Occupying a contemporary, creative world, each character embraces qualities they are known for in their actual lives. These are the men we feel embody something of the spirit of Dior Homme today.” Jamie xx’s melodic post-dubstep track, featuring the vocals of fellow xx bandmate Oliver Sim, further invites us on this poignant journey into the brand’s spirit.

Tarun Tahiliani’s stellar new spring summer 2016 collection reveals clothes that transform into a breathtaking aria of fantasy and romance. Combining wispy delicacy with dramatic flair, the imaginatively avant-garde designer fashions a nomadic beauty of the Kutch desert tribes, the collection is a bohemian rhapsody of sorts. ‘I have always been inspired by the way the people of this region wrap themselves in big blankets, and this collection is my take on that,’ says Tahiliani.

Artfully divided into categories, Tarun showcased unsurpassed mastery in different forms of workmanship, be it the Ombre Crinkle range of draped kaftans, shirts, dresses and jackets in net and jersey. Or the Tonal Tangle collection, which is a kaleidoscope of geometric patterns on gilets, trousers, saris and kurtas made of georgettes, nets, jerseys and handloom.

His Bauhaus Collection, inspired by modernist design, comprises a vibrantly edgy range of structured shirts, kaftans, corsets and t-shirts in graphic shapes, geometric patterns and bold colours.  While Chintz Collection offers a breezy elegance to languid kaftans, kurtas and tunics.A whiff of old-world glam charms in the Chikankari range of tunics, shirts and kalidars .

The designer played with a luminous choice of colours which include reimagined renditions of cobalt blue, ravishing red, marshmallow pink and sunny yellow. The palette gradually shifts to subtle pastels of white and ivory in a clever mix of couture and craftsmanship on innovative fuss-free fabric with inventive embellishments, digital prints and sensual draping.

Mr. Tommy Hilfiger presented his Fall 2016 Hilfiger Edition collection, at Cedar Lake in Manhattan during New York Fashion Week: Men’s.

This season Tommy Hilfiger explores the concept as he presents Hilfiger Edition, a carefully considered and thoughtfully reimagined collection of indispensable menswear classics. We look to our own 30-year history and Tommy’s most signature pieces to deliver the fundamental building blocks of a modern wardrobe.

There are covetable coats from the Crombie to the puffer and thickly cabled fisherman sweaters. Suiting and pajamas are luxurious in a glen plaid or graphic chalk stripes, and the rugby is a playful patchwork. Trousers are cut slouchy and denim is selvedge. Accessories and footwear are the ultimate essentials. All offer the rich detailing that is signature to our brand DNA.

At its foundation, colors are traditional; fabrications are both time-honored and technical, while silhouettes have a genuine sense of ease that is so in keeping with today’s versatile needs. “We looked at each garment from every angle,” noted Tommy, “giving a sense of newness without ever losing sight of what made them special in the first place.”

Gucci and Bergdorf Goodman announced a unique collaboration that includes installations inspired by Alessandro Michele’s Spring Summer 2016 fashion set in Milan, and five Fifth Avenue windows dedicated to the collection. This is the first time Bergdorf Goodman has partnered with a designer to create simultaneous installations and windows in both the Women’s Store and Goodman’s Men’s Store.

In keeping with the aesthetic of the newly opened Gucci store in Milan, both shops feature soft elements like velvet armchairs offset with industrial details such as rivets. Marble polychrome inlays produce decorative three-dimensional effects on the floors, creating the illusion of a marble carpet. Trunks add a decorative element and a visual reference to travel, one of the iconic codes of the house.

The special temporary installations leading into both shops feature snake-adorned carpets with Gucci’s new herbarium print, which was used in the Milan fashion show. Panels in various collection prints will line the walls, which are accented with busts upholstered in vibrant velvet. The installations debut February 4 and will be on view through March 8.

Starting this September, Burberry will showcase its men’s and women’s together, as one collection to be shown twice a year at major runway events during London Fashion Week. (The brand will no longer stage two annual menswear shows at London Collections: Men, but will retain a presence at the event.)

While the brand have long followed the same creative theme the full collection of men’s and women’s looks for the first time will be available to buy both online and in-store, supported by digital and print advertising campaigns, which will launch as soon as the show ends.

The new collections will be “seasonless” and branded “February” and “September” rather than Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter, with an eye towards global consumers who live in non-Western markets with different climatic patterns.
