Designer Karl Lagerfeld is celebrating his 50 years at Fendi with a new book titled “Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld” which was recently launched at the 2015 Cannes Film Festival.

1The book consist of a scrapbook with over 200 Lagerfeld sketches of directional Fendi looks, a Q&A session and a USB stick containing MP4 files of Lagerfeld sketching his memories live.

Fendi by Karl Lagerfeld” was published by Steidl and will be available at Fendi boutiques and high-end bookstores from July.

430Chopard’s annual grand soirée is one of the most sought-after events of the Cannes film festival. This year, renowned jewellery house organised an exceptional concert by Robbie Williams amid the stunning decor of a reconstituted gold mine, in a marquee specially set up for the occasion at Port Canto on the Croisette.

In keeping with the theme of gold adopted by Chopard for all its activities during the Festival in honour of the 60th anniversary of the Palme d’Or, the GOLD soirée immersed guests into the heart of a stunning reconstituted gold mine, complete with tunnel reminiscent of a mine entrance, “nugget-style” chairs, lush tropical vegetation and a bridge built across the whole venue with mine wagons featuring the letters GOLD.

The evening saw some 700 guests from the likes of Uma Thurman, Fan Bing Bing, Poppy Delevingne, Elettra Wiedemann, Sonam Kapoor, Irina Shayk, Adriana Lima, Petra Nemcova, Toni Garrn, Anna Beatriz Barros, Michelle Rodriguez, Isabeli Fontana, Daniela Braga, Catrinel Marlon and Julie Ordo to name a few.

The Museum at FIT will be presenting  a new exhibition titled ‘Global Fashion Capitals’ which will explore the history of the established fashion capitals, Paris, New York, Milan, and London, and the emergence of 16 new fashion cities.

Divided into different sections, the exhibition will start with a digital style map that will locate the fashion capitals and showcase their latest runway and street style pictures.

The first section Paris will present designs from Charles Frederick Worth, Gabrielle Chanel, Christian Dior and the emerging couturier Bouchra Jarrar.

The New York section will begin with a circa 1938 iridescent evening gown by Nettie Rosenstein. There will be styles by Claire McCardell, Halston, and Ralph Lauren and the section will end with a sporty spring/summer 2015 neon orange dress by Alexander Wang.

The Milan section will include exclusive pieces from brands such as Versace and Prada with newer designers, such as Stella, Jean. London section will be about provocative designers such as Vivienne Westwood, John Galliano, and Alexander McQueen who established London as a creative fashion hub during the decades.

Along with China and Ukraine, the exhibition will also examine fashions from Tokyo, Antwerp, Stockholm, Berlin, St. Petersburg/Moscow, Madrid, Sydney/Melbourne, Mexico City, Sao Paolo, Istanbul and Mumbai.

In a beautiful evening at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center’s River Pavilion, The Parsons School of Design organized its 67th annual Fashion Benefit which honored Marc Jacobs and the LVMH group.

1The event showcased innovative collections from 40 graduating design students covering men’s wear, women’s wear and children’s wear. Lucy Jone took home the women’s wear designer of the year for her collection which was showcased to the audience through a short film.

Steffi Tsz Wing Lau won accessories designer of the year award, Jennifer Lia Kim won children’s wear designer of the year, and Jon Max Goh and Sungho Kim tied for men’s wear designers of the year. Blair Moore and Michael Kwok Yan Yip won the portfolio of the year awards.

In attendance were guests Anna Wintour, Robert Duffy, Donna Karan, Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osborne, Lela Rose, Wes Gordon amongst the others.

1In the celebration of the launch of its boutique at Old Bond Street in London, luxury Italian brand Max Mara presented a ramp show featuring sophisticated resort collection.

Sleek and urbane apparels came in the shades of rose pink and chartreuse. The opening section featured interplay of pinstripe and chalk stripe on capes and coats worn over scoop-necked shirts, racerback vests and trousers sliced at the hem to give great shoe.

Models walked in Pinstripe trouser suits, cashmere coats, pencil skirts, rainhoods, and trenchcoats which were perfectly honed for the Max Mara customer.

Completing the looks were some fabulous cat’s-eye sunglasses, mink headguards and fluffy mittens, wide M-branded belts and mesh vests.

1Renowned actress Pamela Anderson has lent her famous curves to a saving water campaign in California by PETA in which she is seenrecreating the famous shower scene from Alfred Hitchcock‘s movie ‘Psycho’.

Shot by Photographer David LaChapelle the black and white image shows 47-year-old Anderson naked with a towel in a bathtub. The campaign is asking the Californians to turn vegetarian like the actress.2

The campaign targets the meat and dairy farms that use excessively water not just for the animals but also for crops grown to feed animals of factory farms.

???????????????????????????Finch & Partners, in partnership with Jaeger-LeCoultre, awarded Gus Van Sant the Annual Filmmakers Award at the Hotel du Cap, Antibes. The evening also saw ‘The Art of Behind The Scenes’ photographic exhibition showcasing pictures from some of the world’s most accomplished ‘on-set’ photographers, produced by Finch & Partners and Jaeger-LeCoultre.

The event was hosted by Charles Finch and attended by: Salma Hayek, Julianne Moore, Benicio del Toro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Naomi Watts, Catherine Deneuve, Simon Baker, Mariella Frostrup,Zoë Kravitz, Courtney Eaton, Tallulah Riley, Elon Musk, Harvey Weinstein, Abel Ferrera, Noomi Rapace, Ethan Cohen, Jean Pigozzi and Jaeger-LeCoultre CEO Daniel Riedo.

IFP, Calvin Klein Collection & euphoria Calvin Klein Recognized Women In Film At The 68th Cannes Film FestivalCannes, FranceCalvin Klein collection and euphoria Calvin Klein held their fifth annual event celebrating women in film at a private villa last night during the 68th Cannes Film Festival.

The invitation-only event, hosted by Joana Vicente, Executive Director of IFP, and Francisco Costa, Women’s Creative Director of Calvin Klein Collection, drew influential members of the film, fashion and beauty worlds to recognize notable women who have made an impact on film. The actresses recognized this year included Rachel Weisz, Isabelle Huppert, Mélanie Laurent, Emily Blunt, and Sienna Miller, a member of this year’s festival jury.

Guests wardrobed in Calvin Klein Collection included Ms. Weisz, Ms. Huppert, Ms. Laurent, Ms. Blunt, Ms. Miller, Ms. Vicente, Kat Graham, Lily Donaldson, Derek Blasberg, Gregory van der Wiel, Chiara Ferragni and Gala Gonzalez, with other notable guests in attendance included Jake Gyllenhaal, Harvey Weinstein, Megan Ellison, Rossy de Palma, Sarah Kazemy Stefano Tonchi, Joan Smalls, Sama Khadra and Haya Khadra.
