Luxury brand Burberry has launched its latest stunning resort wear collection 2016 by Christopher Bailey.
The collection had more structured silhouettes like gowns, A-lines, and shifts layered with an abandon of embellishment. Some pieces were crafted from combination of white Nottingham lace and black macramé flowers, cornflower blue, salmon pink Chantilly lace and structured metallic gold ribbon. The gold tape on a macramé dress and white tape on a navy overcoat bore a hint of ceremonial military tailoring.
A dark trench with a full, sculpted skirt was embellished with thick cotton strips in an Aztec like geometric pattern. A navy blue, double-breasted coat was made from coated felt with macramé lace panels running down the side while another coat featured lamb shearling with a zebra pattern.

Academy of Art University had 39 student designers presenting their final collections at the annual Graduation Fashion Show in San Francisco.
In addition, this year’s honored guests, The Council of Fashion Designers of America (The CFDA) and School of Fashion alumna and 2014 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund runner up Ryan Roche, the fashion show introduced the collections of the B.F.A. and M.F.A. students to some of the most influential members of the fashion world.
The fashion show consisted of 21 collaborative menswear and womenswear collections created by students who studied Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Menswear Design, Technical Design, Textile Design and Jewelry/Metal Arts. Of the 21 collections presented, six were collaborations between Fashion Design, Knitwear Design, Textile Design, and Jewelry/Metal Arts students. Twelve Fashion Design and Textile Design students collaborated on a 15-look capsule collection to celebrate the 30th anniversary of BCBG Max Azria sister brand Hervé Léger, with M.F.A. Fashion Designer Nina Hui being selected by BCBG to participate in an internship with Hervé Léger.
Esteemed American leather goods brand Ghurka has marked its first international presence with their G200 collection launched at Fortnum & Mason in London’s St. James’s district.
Marking the brand’s 40th anniversary, collection includes its daytime and travel goods, humidors, watch collector boxes and outdoor sporting items. Elegant accessories including wallets, pouches, and wash bags are also available at the store. The third floor of the luxury British retailer includes special fixtures and embellishments shipped all the way from Ghurka’s New York showroom.
The launch evening saw guests like Joanna Lumley, Field Marshall Sir John Chapple, Kenton Cool, Levison Wood, Ben Starr and Stefan Booth.
Renowned Swedish brand H&M has opened their largest store in the world at 34th Street Herald Square in New York.
Build on huge area of 65,000 square feet, the new boutique has three story glass facade, a 35-foot-high atrium, and a dedicated 1,000 square feet for the stores first shoe department.
For its costumer the store has H&M’s most simple pieces like lace tops to their more exclusive pieces like the Conscious Exclusive collection’s short leather jacket. The store’s fourth floor consists of cut-rate home goods, everything from throw pillows for the couch to bathroom towels.
