The Italian School of Fashion and Design, announced the opening of its first representative office in Mumbai, at 301Anand Centre, 105 Dr. Ambedkar Road, Bandra West.

The interior furniture is provided by Giulio Cappellini, a synonym of avantgarde Italian design

to meet the international Istituto Marangoni standards of design and class.The well located office will be able to address all queries about the school, fashion and design courses & curriculum, admission related information, Istituto Marangoni campuses worldwide present in Milano, Paris, London and Shanghai.

Istituto Marangoni also announced the upcoming opening of the new Design School in February 2014, which will be situated in Milan’s design district, 5 minutes walking from the Fashion school, under the direction of Massimo Zanatta.

Tarun Tahiliani’s grand finale exclusive for the AVIBFW borrows from India’s rich cultural roots, lightness coupled with playfulness that moves away from royal India and the bling and bauble of the past with intricate techniques and finesse to structures and silhouettes.

Glimpses of shimmering gold, hues of soft pastels and a whimsical frothiness are reminiscent of an era of charm and elegance.The piece-des-resistance will be the threadwork with Swarovski Elements in lehengas in the softest shades of aquas and teals.

The collection is all about creating couture which keeps distinctive Indian crafts alive, while exploring visions in sparkling crystal and carat, reflecting emotions that give shape to sensuous, elegant and bespoke luxury for brides, grooms and their families as well as for other occasions. This collection will be living, breathing heritage, married with the fresh vibrancy and essence of modern India,” said Tarun Tahiliani.

Inspired by the beauty and grandeur of Rajasthan,Anita Dongre’s latest collection is shot by R Burman at the magnificent Samode Palace in Jaipur with models Jyotsna Chakravarthy and Anuj Choudhary being the faces. The film showcases bridal wear from Anita Dongre’s Timeless label, including some of her signature lehengas with exquisite Gota Patti handwork done by artisans in Jaipur.

From sensuous saris, swirling lehengas, dramatic jackets, to beautiful salwar kameez, the collection is a treasure house of rich Indian traditions with her signature effortless elegance. She has given her Bridal lehengas a twist by using gota patti embroidery paired with crisp raw silk bandi. This gorgeous collection is dominated by Lime Green, Gulabi Pink, Ink Blue and Rose Pink,with accessories from her stunning Pink City jewellery line.

The Indo Fushion line of Anita Dongre Menswear, is classic and elegant, and fit for a prince. Drawing inspiration from Samode Palace, this season’s line consists of unconstructed garments that allow for layering. Crafted from high quality monga silk, heavy linen, brocades, dupioni silk and kheta silk, on offer are kurtas, bandhgalas, dhotis, shirts, trousers and bandis, in shades of beige, maroon, black, navy blue, cement with the inner layering in electric blue, lime green and various other bright colours.

India’s premier and internationally acclaimed design power house, Raghavendra Rathore, will be showcasing his bridal collection for the first time at the very first Edition of India Bridal Fashion Week, Delhi, on 25th July.

Drawing its inspiration from across Asia, the collection aims to reinvent the revelry and exuberance of the 1920’s  by using exquisite embellishments in the regal shades of fuchsia, midnight blue, wine, saffron, gold and silver.
