This capsule collection is full of all-over prints featuring colorful illustrations of creatures based on Micah’s work.

Tasveer Arts’ forthcoming exhibition Inner Space by Maimouna Guerresi – An Italian Photographer – presents an intimate perspective on the relationship between women and society. The exhibition opens on 18th October has timeless, rigorous and classic images depicting ancient India or a new India in constant development.

Patrizia Maïmouna Guerresi an Italian photographer, sculptor and video installation artist who presents an intimate perspective on the relationship between women and society, with particular reference to those countries in which the role of women is most marginalized. For over twenty years Maïmouna’s work has been about empowering women and bringing together individuals and cultures in an appreciation for a context of shared humanity, beyond borders – psychological, cultural, and political.
.

Her work has been exhibited widely in Europe, America and the Middle East. For her first solo exhibition in India with Tasveer, Maïmouna has made a new body of work in response to the country and its culture. Her art is uniquely authentic and is inspired by personal experience and the cultural contexts which reference universal myths, the sacred realm, and the female condition, all of which are seen as vital expressions of the human form: an essentially spiritual and mystic body.

Designer trio Ashish , Viral and Vikrant of Virtues are out with their SS’13 collection , this time being inspired by the fiesty city of Morocco. The collection which is named “Moroccan Princess ” takes you to a world of exotic Middle East glamour , inspired by the Moorish art and design of the Marrakesh abundant in rich colors and warm spices , the spring/summer collection is the lavish oasis of luxurious silks and prints in saturated tones that pop sparkling silver metallics.

The color palette included brilliant hues of sunshine yellows , salmon pink , sea green , beige , ivory and indigo against the accents of coral , olive and black. The vivid colors and high shine lend a 70’s influence with the sleek and flowing lines of the silhouettes .  Digital prints , summer dresses , khaftans and robes combine for an opulent look . The collection is a spectacular celebration of bold 70’s glamour and the rich sensual mystery of Morocco.

The designer has gravitated toward nature as her chief inspiration for Spring Summer 2013 and her collection presented by Fiama Di Wills is evocative of a sculpture garden… perhaps her own personal Garden of Eden. It is made for a surreal fantasy with some of the sensuous feminine forms sheathed in silk jerseys and silk georgettes and in-house woven brocade.

There is absorption and reimagining of some of Ranna’s signature styles and indomitably glamorous spirit in this decadent collection. The beautifully woven maxis and kaftans, Jersey dresses and tunics and skirts indicate a move toward easier Seventies styles and further evidence of this drift is in the tie-dye looks which are a little nostalgic though the shibori patterns of flora and fauna feel modern.

The collection is presented in a profusion of colors one would find in nature as hot fluorescent shades and pastels are splashed on a white base.

Celebrated designer Surily Goel is all set to put a spell on you with her latest collection Fever , marking the label’s return to the trademark style of fringes and flirty movements , but with an electric twist . Fever embraces metallic accents along with a palette ranging from pop colors like fluorescent yellows , tangerine and pinks on nudes and blues.

Featuring the collection includes silhouettes like playsuits , asymmetrical dresses and drapes to the leggy mini dresses and skirts. Interesting use of Aztec merged with geometric designs is especially created to add a contemporary touch . Strong , Sexy and Edgy defines this Fever that one really wont mind having.
