For his upcoming show at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week Spring Summer 2013 designer Ashish N Soni is presenting a collection titled, “Cytology – “The Micro Lab””.

Taking inspiration from microbiology, showcasing how cells are the basic units of life, the collection consists of a mixture of a flat view screen print as well an array of digital prints which have been developed by taking a closer look at cell biology featuring the actual microscope slides of the harmless flora, which are presented alongside red blood cells, Multi Vitamins, Vitamin C and glucose in an photographic setting.

The charm of the collection lies in its microscopic slides which appear as brightly coloured pieces of stained glass, or tiny abstract paintings.

The king of kitsch Manish Arora went the traditional way this season as he unveiled his Indian Enchanted collection taking inspiration from the decadence of royal Indian lineage.

The much talked about jewellery used in the show came from the archive of Amrapali Jewels, bringing alive the magnificence of Indian heritage in the form of antique jewellery – all fused with an incredible contemporary pastel color palette, bringing to life traditional pieces like the hand mirror and utility belt, through the use of 18 carat gold plating and traditional Meenakari settings of stone and crystal.

The highlight of this jewellery affair is a range of tigers and antelopes adorned with hand painted enameling and vibrant gemstones.

At the heart of the Iconic photo shoot Delevingne will represent the Vero Moda woman – a personality with a fresh, individual look. She embodies a friendly and expressive spirit – not a girl, but a self-confident and straightforward woman, who is well dressed round the clock.

About the collaboration, Katja Hundrup, Vero Moda’s Head of Image and PR, says, “Vero Moda has a long tradition of working with style icons, and it is important to us that we work with women who bring their own point of view on fashion with them. Poppy Delevingne was a natural choice, not only for her fresh and beautiful look but also since she is a source of inspiration to us and to many women around the world.”
