Raashi Khanna - Fashionfad

Here comes the new breed of the modeling industry waiting to be unleashed at new and dizzying heights of success. She walked into the fashion scene a mere one and a half year ago but has added some valuable names to her resume already. She is a down to earth young college girl for whom modeling had not been a sole aim but rather a lucky coincidence.

Raashi is a student following her English honors from Lady Sriram College. An extremely hard worker, she truly believes in the saying that we are made to persist and that’s how we know who we are. An optimist, she considers that life is like a river and the twists and the turns are to guide us and not stop deter us from achieving our goals.

Some of her works that would surely make you take notice of this beautiful female include a commercial for Dove. Print shoots for Parashute, Tanishq, Images Bazaar, Catch and Oxyglow. She was also featured on the cover of the July 2009 edition of Femina. Apart from these she has also done shows for Ranna Gill and Reebok. Introducing you to the new blood in the industry Raashi Khanna.

Family and Academics…
We are a small happy family consisting of my parents, my elder brother and me. Whatever I am today is because of the family values that I have imbibed. I owe all my success to my hard work and my family’s support and blessings. I have recently shifted to Palam Vihar in Gurgaon from Delhi. I did my schooling from St. Marks, Meera Bagh, New Delhi.

Parent’s reaction to your choice of modeling as a career…
They are my biggest support and supported me completely when I chose this career. Modeling happened by chance. I had never really thought of entering it. But I am glad I did. This has been a really exciting journey as I get to meet so many interesting people and learn a lot too.

Greatest achievement till date…
Well, there have been many achievements; it’s tough to name one. I think it was when I received three trophies in my XII standard and topped my stream. It’s a great feeling to make my parents proud.

Idea of an ideal date

Well, my idea of an ideal date would be sitting near a splashing beach and having a candle lit dinner, with a piano playing in the background.

When not modeling what are you most likely to be found doing…
Well I’m an avid reader and in my free time I will definitely be found reading books.
