Nawaz Modi Singhania previewed his new solo art exhibition titled “Portrait Study of Well Known Personalities” to city’s A – Listers in south Mumbai.

The portraits on canvas in charcoal, oils and acrylic are a tribute to iconic celebrities ranging from Hollywood stars Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie, Tom Cruise to singers Beyonce, Michael Jackson, sportspeople David Beckham, Maradona, Roger Federer, royalty Princess Diana, scientists Albert Einstein, corporate executives Steve Jobs, celebrity anchors Oprah Winfrey amongst others.“Through the years, they’ve made us laugh and cry, they have inspired and motivated us, imbedded thoughts, imbibed emotions and character in us, enthralled and mesmerized us, both consciously and subconsciously. This collection is a Portrait Study of those whom we love to love…or even love to hate..,” says Nawaz.

Fizaa, Zarine Khan’s multi-designer store saw the launch of Designer Sonya Vazifdar’s latest collection for Vemb. The collection comprised of some light coloured, soothing outfits, extremely apt and wearable for summers.

AmfAR held its annual Inspiration Gala in São Paulo at the home of Dinho Diniz, where Sharon Stone, the organization’s global fund-raising chairman, was joined by the likes of Kate Moss, Naomi Campbell, Ricardo TIsci and Mary J. Blige, amongst many others.

Sharon presided over the live auction, which had tickets to Givenchy’s spring women’s ready-to-wear show in Paris with an evening dress, accessories and a handbag designed by Tisci, a custom portrait by Brazilian artist Vik Muniz and a Richard Phillips surfboard.

KaDeWe celebrated the opening of its one-of-a-kind campaign ‘Studio Italia – La Perfezione del Gusto’. At around 8:30 p.m., over 500 guests – including actresses Iris Berben, Marie Bäumer and Natalia Wörner, star blogger Chiara Ferragni and fashion celebrity Ottavio Missoni Jr. – entered the KaDeWe atrium.

For the next two months, the KaDeWe atrium will be transformed into a modern palazzo, presenting Italian labels with high quality standards and the sense of tradition that often guides family-run or artisan operations. On all floors, the premium store focuses on Italy – from fashion, accessories and beauty to home and gourmet. For the first time, the two sister stores – Oberpollinger in Munich and Alsterhaus in Hamburg – will also be presenting this comprehensive campaign.
