Tommy Hilfiger Holiday 2016 global campaign, Hilfiger Holiday Voyage, features the brand’s global women’s ambassador, Gigi Hadid, alongside Francisco Lachowski. Shot in New York by photographer Gregory Harris, the campaign channels Tommy Hilfiger’s Fall 2016 nautical theme as Gigi hosts a festive party aboard the “Hilfiger Line.”

“I love festive traditions and some of my favorite memories are from holidays spent with my whole family,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “This season, our global ambassador Gigi Hadid really brings the festive spirit to life – her look is effortlessly glamorous with a relaxed twist. From embellished eveningwear to everyday essentials, our signature holiday style is all about celebrating the season with an elegant, playful edge.”

To celebrate the festive season, Cordelia de Castellane, Creative Director of Baby Dior, has reinterpreted the House codes to decorate the Christmas tree located in the lobby of the Hôtel Plaza Athénée from 15 December to 7 January.

Standing five meters tall, it will be embellished with baubles sparkling like stars or printed with quotes from Monsieur Dior, along with bows and decorations in white and gold. The base of the tree will feature a cluster of presents, a medallion-back chair and Gabriel the teddy bear, the emblematic Baby Dior toy.

This is the first time that the luxurious Parisian hotel, situated only steps from 30 Avenue Montaigne, welcomes a Christmas tree through which Dior revisits childlike wonder to evoke the magic of a season beloved of Christian Dior.

Badly damaged in a 1966 flood, the 16th-century masterpiece was once considered impossible to restore. Now, after a painstaking seven-year conservation project, the painting is finally unveiled at Florence’s Santa Croce basilica.

01

The Last Supper,” which was painted on wood panels, was hung inside a museum within Florence’s Santa Croce basilica. Because the museum was lower than the main cathedral, Vasari’s work remained submerged under a viscous mix of flood water, sewage and oil for more than 12 hours, causing the wood to warp and the paint to peel.

02

Now, exactly 50 years after the devastating flood, Vasari’s rendering of Christ’s last supper returned home to Santa Croce after a painstaking restoration funded by the Getty Foundation and fashion house Prada, the last major flood-damaged work to be restored for public viewing.

Lately, British tabloid The Sun reportedly wrote that Cara was too “bloated” to walk the 2014 show. The last time Cara Delevingne walked in a Victoria’s Secret show, was 2013, ridiculing the rumours, VS Fashion Show executive producer wanted Cara to know personally, that tabloids will be tabloids, and that she’s always welcome.

It’s shameless to discuss women’s bodies just to sell papers #bloated,” said the actress, posting the letter on Instagram received by her.

Ibn Battuta once said, “Travelling – it leaves you speechless and then turns you into a storyteller” and that’s exactly what inspired Surily Goel, fashion designer and celebrity stylist’s return to the fashion industry. Back with a bang, she borrows cues from her adventures around the fashion capitals of Spain, London and New York to even rare offbeat locations like Bhutan for her new comeback couture line. Imagined with plenty ethereal essence and whimsy, her finely detailed range of separates evokes her subconscious and deliberate musings of each destination.

The much awaited campaign has been captured by ace photographer Dia Mehta Bhupal features Ujjwala Raut, Mehr Jessia, Kamal Sidhu and Malaika Arora. Monday night, the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund finalists gathered at Spring Studios, New York to celebrate the 2016 winners.

The designers were chosen from a list of 10 finalists that spanned the categories of ready-to-wear, menswear, accessories, optical and lingerie. First prize went to Brock Collection — founded by husband-and-wife design duo Laura Vassar and Kristopher Brock in 2013, taking home a cash prize of $400,000 to invest in their company, as well as continued business mentorship from CFDA members.

While the runner up for $150,000 prize were The New Orleans-based eyewear label Krewe, founded by Stirling Barrett in 2013.

Jose Neves, who used to find the clothing industry “frivolous and uninteresting, now owns of one of the world’s fastest-growing luxury fashion websites, Farfetch , which is valued at $1.5bn (£1.2bn).

1

Fashion is a global industry, I thought it would provide me with my chance to run away from Portugal,” adds Mr Neves, who stirred his passion growing up in Portugal now live and work in London.

Mr Neves was at the spring/summer Paris Fashion Week in 2007 when the idea struck.”I was meeting lots of boutiques, and noticed that the ones that were growing had strong online operations,” he says.

Other designers didn’t have any online presence because they either lacked the ambition, funding, or know-how. So the idea for Farfetch was born – enabling small designers or fashion retailers to become global players via a single online marketplace, which has now 400 or so fashion boutiques around the world and more than 100 brands, that Neves has stitched together into a globe-girdling e-commerce octopus.
