Gucci, opens its new 35,000 square meter Milan head office in the historic Caproni aeronautical factory built in 1915.

Following a meticulous restoration of the original structure that has taken over three years to complete, the new ‘Gucci Hub’ brings together the fashion house’s Milan offices, worldwide showrooms, fashion show venue and graphics and photo studios in one unique location that is now home to more than 250 employees.

With Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s vision and aesthetics, in the center of the complex stands a newly constructed six story glass-front office tower set on more than 3,000 square meters of land. The tower’s striking size and shape and its dark metal components contrast with the red exposed brick of the original buildings. The hangars, once used for the final assembly of Caproni aircraft, have also been carefully restored occupying an impressive 3,850 square meters of space, including 2,000 square meters that will be used to stage fashion shows from 2017 onwards.

Outfitting these areas are one-of-a-kind with special pieces found through a process of discovery and cannot be replicated or purchased anywhere. Theater seating, old bar countertops and vintage screens, armchairs and side tables nothing here is boring yet gives an interesting item everywhere you turn.

This year around Meg Ryan, Forest Whitaker, Queen Rania of Jordan, Livia Firth, Mark Ruffalo join Richard Curtis: clling all world leaders to take note of what Girls ‘REALLY REALLY WANT’ at the UN General Assembly.

In 2016, Girl Power went global with the film #WhatIReallyReallyWant, inspiring women and girls from around the world to send messages on equality for girls and women.  Whilst leaders attended SDG Year 1, a Global Girls bus began a loud tour of New York, ensuring messages received were heard loud and clear.  Starting at Times Square with a performance by dancers from the #WhatIReallyReallyWant film, Taylor Hatala and Larsen Thompson and then led around New York by MJ Delaney bringing together girls and women to shout about the progress that still needs to be made for women and girls.

At Milan Fashion Week, things are always very bright basically there is lots of glitz and glamour on the runway. Well, the next seven days and with Gucci show scheduled for Day 1, it’s going to be intense for everybody.
