1Top sprinter English Gardner doesn’t mince words: “I have to have my tights. Tights help keep you stabilized, [and yet] give you enough free flow of movement to have the power.”

Taking Gardner’s insights as a starting point, Nike designers crafted tights to aid the linear motion of running and the muscles it engages with a slim cut to maximize compression provided by a lightweight, high-elastane Dri-FIT fabric that has ample stretch and retraction to smoothly adapt to the runner’s stride.

Notably, enhanced compression along the hip, thigh, calf and Achilles tendon boost muscle control, further to Gardner’s requests, designers added an encased drawcord at the waist for a personalized fit, reflective details for low-light conditions and bonded ankle zips for easy on and off. A vapor-lined pocket for phones or keys sits on the back hip for men and at the center back for women.

Puma’s brand ambassador, Rihanna has handpicked her favourite Puma styles for Eskiva hi, a sleek and sporty silhouette is aesthetically opposite to her previous drop.

An update of the classic boxing shoe the Puma Gong, the Eskiva Hi is a high cut trainer that combines retro sporting aesthetic with contemporary fashion. It features a leather upper, nubuck overlays, lace up front, perforated tongue, heel tab and gold Puma branding without compromising comfort.

The shoe is available in a range of colour variations from black and white right through to flashing metallic editions.

To celebrate the Chinese New Year, The Altiplano “Art & Excellence” has the playful and self-assured monkey, the ninth sign of the Chinese zodiac, takes centre stage on the dial of the watch.

Limited to 38 pieces, Piaget has marked the arrival of the Chinese New Year with its “Art & Excellence” collection staging that year’s zodiac sign, hand-crafted in the great Grand Feu cloisonné enamelling tradition. From the mythical dragon to the regal stallion, the undulating snake to the free-spirited goat, each symbol is reimagined within the watch’s ultra-thin case, as the dial becomes a magnificent stage set for a virtuoso performance of the most elaborate decorative arts.

World-renowned master enameller Anita Porchet has lent her skills to bring each Chinese zodiac sign to life in her own exceptional interpretation, turning the ultra-thin Altiplano watch into a refined work of art. By partitioning the enamel using cloisons, the refinement of the artwork is enhanced, giving the seated monkey its delicate glistening coat of fur as it proudly holds a peach, symbol of immortality, up against a soft sky-like background.

The artistic virtuosity of the piece comes from the artist’s ability to achieve the subtlest shades of grey, graded from the more intense to the lighter, with a succession of flawless applications. In accordance with the tradition of grand feu enamels, the successive firing of the piece in the kiln at over 800°C gives the enamel its ethereal glow, and guarantees the longevity of the masterpiece, enhanced by Piaget’s gem-setting expertise with the 18-carat white gold case set with 78 brilliant-cut diamonds. The intricate dial conceals a Piaget 430P hand-wound mechanical manufacture movement.
