The British Fashion Council has recently announced that London will be hosting another fashion week, the London Pre-Collections which will be held between June 15 and 17.

This event will take place directly after the men’s collections and will include a special centralized showroom — the Hoxton Collective — featuring designers such as Huishan Zhang, Marques’Almeida and Zoë Jordan. Big names like Burberry, Roland Mouret, Anya Hindmarch, and Peter Pilotto will also present their resort wear.

1New York fashion darling Zac Posen in partnership with Delta Airline is bringing high fashion and function to Delta’s new uniforms.

The designer will designing for 30,000 employees of the airline company, including its highly visible flight attendants. In addition to creating uniforms for Delta’s 20,000 male and female flight attendants, Posen will suit up its airport service agents, and he will advise on the uniform project under way for Delta’s ramp and ground support crews, cargo agents and TechOps employees.

The new uniforms are expected to launch internationally in early 2018.2

This year to present its Cruise 16 collection, luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton chose the iconic home of comedian Bob Hope in Palm Springs, Calif. The architecture of the house itself paired well with the collection, which conjured up images of a folkloric fantasy.

Models walked the poolside in pairing structured leather pieces like an asymmetric top, studded clutch with a flowing maxi skirt and pleated linen pants. The line included several current styles such as jumpsuits, midriff-baring tops and chunky boots. The mostly neutral color palette meshed perfectly with the show’s desert surroundings, but it was the exquisite detailing of each piece that stole the show.

1Comedian Ellen DeGeneres is stepping into the world of designing with her latest collaboration with renowned brand Gap to create new clothing line for kids.

The GapKids x ED is collection for young girls which will encourage them to pursue their passion, whether its math, science, sports or the arts. The apparel collection will give Ellen a chance to share her sharp sense of style.
GapKids x ED will include a full girls’ collection, including tops, bottoms and outerwear, plus items for boys and adults and will be availaible from August 17 on gap.com and in all Gap Kids stores in the U.S. as well as in some international store across Canada, the U.K., China and Japan.

As part of his global 30th anniversary tour, iconic American designer Tommy Hilfiger will visit Beijing

for a special program including his 30th anniversary runway show and the opening of the largest ‘Tommy Hilfiger’ store in China.

Between May 24 and 26, Mr. Hilfiger will host events throughout Beijing including an exclusive recreation of his Fall 2015 Hilfiger Collection runway show, which marks the first time the brand is bringing the event to an international setting. The complete show experience will be transported to Beijing for the runway event, which will include looks from the men’s and women’s collections and take place against the celebrated backdrop of Hilfiger’s football stadium set.

1The anniversary event will also mark the grand opening of the largest Tommy Hilfiger store in China, located in Beijing’s prestigious In88 shopping center. For the first time in the country, the new two-story location will showcase Hilfiger Collection. The two-story store will spans over 500-square-meters (5,400-square feet) and reflects the brand’s “classic American cool” DNA. Its visually striking façade stretches over 30 meters along two sides of the mall, while large windows host high-resolution digital screens that display the latest Tommy Hilfiger advertising campaign videos and imagery. The first floor showcases women’s sportswear, Hilfiger Collection and accessories including Italian-made footwear and bags, while the second floor features the Tommy Hilfiger Tailored and men’s sportswear collections.

1This month, Net-A-Porter, the luxury fashion site, is launching a fashion-focused social network named The Net Set which will allow customers to build their own profile and follow celebrities, friends and popular trends.

Users will be able to buy products from the app and Net-A-Porter brands will also be given their own profiles to allow a one-to-one dialogue with customers.

The app also features built-in visual recognition technology that allows users to find exact or similar style matches to those seen in any image. The Style Council, a top group comprising the most stylish and influential style icons in the world’, will be on hand to inspire and engage with Net Set users.

Donald Roberston's illustrations for Covent Garden's Floral Street, to be auctioned to raise fund for the DEC's NepalArtist Donald Robertson is auctioning his five original latest illustrations  that he created in collaboration with London’s Floral Street in Covent Garden to raise funds for those who suffered in the Nepal earthquake last month.

The illustrations highlight womenin gorgeous floral inspired fashion or carrying large bouquets. The artist is auctioning the original illustrations via the Instagram account @CoventGardenLDN and the funds from the sale will go toward the Disasters Emergency Committee’s Nepal appeal. Prospective buyers can make a bid by commenting on the Covent Garden Instagram account. The bidding will close on May 8.

Jessica Choi, mentored by Zaid Affas.Aspiring new fashion students showed off their creative design talents at the Otis College of Art and Design’s 33rdannual Scholarship Benefit and Fashion Show at the Beverly Hilton Hotel.

In keeping with the show’s theme, “A Celebration of Water,” students created designs inspired by professional mentors Zaid Affas, Joe McCarty, Liliana Casabal, Bob Mackie, Mary Jo Bruno, Lindsay McNutt, Emily Fong, Ryan Keenan, Alan Hardy, and Kassandra Cassily. There were swimsuits, children’s clothing, outerwear, lingerie, sportswear and evening gowns.

Student Jessica Choi was named “Designer of the Year” and other top honors went to Molly Workman Dane Diseth, Ju Yeun, Hyunjin Cho and Ju Yun, Song Baik, Alysha Aguilar, Michelle Kim, Loie Victorino, Angelia Karnes, Tzu Wei Tang, Khanhlinh Su and Xiaoli Ling.

The show also honored Carlos Alberini with Fashion Leadership Award, Gary Schoenfeld with the Otis Creative Vision Award and fashion designer Trina Turk with Otis Fashion Innovation Award.

In attendance were guests like Michael York and Kathrine Herzer, Karen Kane and Robert Tuggle, Jerry Magnin and Art Coppola, Elaine and Bram Goldsmith.

The luxury French fashion house Lanvin has partnered with the British football team Arsenal to design the suits for the players of the team. The brand has been outfitting the team since 2013.

Celebrating the collaboration, a recent image has been released were players from the club Calum Chambers, Jack Wilshere, Mikel Arteta, David Ospina, Theo Walcott, Mathieu Flamini and Mesut Ozil are wearing the suits designed by Lanvin’s menswear director Lucas Ossendrijver.

The looks include a red rose tie pin and a gold Arsenal crest on a midnight blue suit with slim fit shirt and a handmade red silk tie. Cufflinks engraved with the famous Arsenal cannon are completing the looks.
