L *Space by Monica Wise for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2015 showcased creations with a mass appeal, liked and appreciated by all age groups of fashionistas. Like Caitin Kelly, her collection too had the dual wearability of both party wear and swimwear. While layering with excessive thread work was visible, a few looks were embellished conventional policemen hats, adding to the sexual appeal of the garments. Besides the colour palette was extremely funky, comprising of neon shades of orange, violet, black, navy blue and peach to name a few.

Caitlin Kelly’s 2015 swimwear included some sexy one piece swim suits, single piece swimsuits graced with effective drapes, casual oversized cargo capris, deep necked loose one pieces, nylon skirts and creatively draped swim suits. Embellishments included glossy buckles, chained belts, long danglers as well as elegant earrings. Besides, Caitlin’s swimwear collection had the unique dual wearability of beach wear and evening party wear.

Clover Canyon’s swimwear collection was a story on its own, replete of 3D prints, geometrical and hazy confusing patterns, intricate webbed uppers, all in very basic colours combinations. With the thoughtful application of surface elements, the designer showcased some extremely unique and never seen before designs for one piece and 2 piece swimsuits. Floral and aquatic prints, intricate webbed designs, chained uppers, different neck lines were the commonly used embellishments. Also the colour palette was very subtle and elegant including bottle green, neon red, orange, white and printed nude.

For this year’s Mercedes Benz fashion Week, Frankie’s bikinis came up with the brand’s conventional detailing filled swimwear along with the common feature of singular colour scheme and patterned styling. The designer used a unique colour palette ranging between olive green, fawn, turquoise blue, nude green and neon pink among others. Intricate prints over the bikinis, webbed patterns for over all uppers; trendy laced accessories and an enthusiastic attitude on the runway were the few major attractions of the show.

Dolores Cortés’ collection for fashion week Swim 2015 was showcase of urban safari, replete of a lot of graphic prints, stripes, and vintage floral prints and more, all accessorised and enhanced with showy jewellery including earrings and bracelets. Check prints, with innovative layers of belts, drapes and thread embellishment were among the other highlights. The swim suits also included see through long skirts, jumpsuits, halter neck bikinis, ill fitted trendy gowns and sleek one piece swimsuits with the very ‘in style’ metallic finishing.

Beach Bunny swimwear 2015 came up with the most dramatic collection with exclusive wearability of evening swimwear. Exhibiting excessive glitter, shiny thread work, mesmerising accessories and funky boots, the designers went extremely retro with this collection. Tie up bikinis with hoods, stone studded two piece swim suits, edgy stoles, over-sized see through gowns and heavy worked exposing one piece with thigh length velvet boots, were some of the eye-catchy components of the entire collection. Besides, the designers also experimented with innovative unique designs and hand accessories for this collection, which achieved remarkable feedback from the audience.

Sinesia Karol this year came up with her collection inspired by the iconic birds of Brazil. Likewise, the collection included some overall jumpsuits in basic nude colour combinations. The embellishments included chained for two piece bikinis, tied up uppers, detailed webbed swim dresses, halter necks etc. A nude pink one piece swimsuit with cuts on the waist line, and a sleek bikini paired with oversized webbed hot pants were two extremely chic and attracting creations of the collection.

Jeremy and Katinka Somers’ We Are Handsome, presented a yet another urban safari inspired collection. Sporty zipped two piece bikini suits, terrestrial imprinted bikinis, traditional cross necked jumpsuits, easy to wear shrugs, delicate scarves, and youthful boxers for men were some of the creations showcased. Enhanced with the very catchy metallic finish, the collection was replete of some fruitful colours like bright yellow, fluorescent violet, metallic pink to name a few. Moreover, the highlight of the entire collection was an easy to wear tee paired with a skin tight slax in black, which was both a novelty in swimwear genre and an evening party wear outfit as well.

Poko Pano’s collection for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week Swim 2015 included some chic designs for two piece and one piece swim suits with some vintage prints and 3D embroideries. Use of classy leather straps, buckles, animal prints, thread work, beaded chains and layering formed a part of embellishments. The colour palette on the other hand was funky and youthful, including neon shades of orange, hot red, maroon, white and aquatic blue. The one garment that outshone the rest of the collection was a playful strapped orange shrug worn over a sexy white bikini.
