The Italian luxury label Trussardi joins hands with the iconic Italian watchmaker, Morellato to launch an all new line of watches for the brand.

Conceived by the brand’s creative director, Gaia Trussardi, these Swiss made watches for men and women are an elegant and classy take on the world of wrist watches. With aristocratic leather straps and attractive dials in sophisticated colour combinations, the watches make one feel the Italian essence and luxury.

Meanwhile, Morellato also creates watches for luxury carmarker Maserati and up-market fashion brands like Just Cavalli, John Galliano, and Pepe Jeans, London.

Over the years, the fashion industry has been vastly accused of lacking diversity with respect to the models walking the runways. While negligible amount of improvement has been recorded, designer Oliver Rousteing does his part by featuring only one white model, among others, for Balmain’s fall ad campaign, which is both glamorous and impactful.

Shot by Mario Sorrenti, the campaign features six beautiful models, namely Jourdan Dunn, Cara Delevingne, YsaunnyBrito, Issa Lish, Binx Walton, and Kayla Scott, attired in gorgeous animal prints. Styled by Katie Grand, the campaign reflects the beauty of diversified cultures along with a bold and confident attitude.

Moreover, Rousteing being a black in this very popular French fashion house himself breaks away from his own limitations and steps aside from the clichéd ideologies of the fashion world.

This designer duo believes in experimentation and creative textures, to give their collections the exclusive and the sophisticated look. Having been involved in the industry since 2001, they have progressed further to create a niche for themselves in the conventional fashion world. Bringing together their respective ideologies and thought processes, they curated their label ‘Charas’ in 2009.

Speaking of the label and its creations, it is replete of exquisite contemporary and classical cocktail sarees, lehangas, suits, gowns and tunics. Giving a new elegance to the traditional Indian wardrobe, the designers’ lists of embellishments include embroidery with zardosi challa work; Swarovski on zari weaved fabric, doris, latkans, gold beads, stones and many more. A close look at the collections give a true reflection of the designers’ focus on the segment who understands the exuberance of western classical wear and the royalty in Indian culture during the 60’s and the 80’s.

Meanwhile, their early years in the fashion industry include working with national and international boutiques to gain a wider exposure and enhanced skills. They have also worked with designers like Satya Paul and la afaire, which gave them a clearer view of the fashion ideology in India. Furthermore, a few of their accomplishments comprise of their designing costumes for Bollywood flicks like ‘Aks’, ‘Tum Bin’ and ‘Delhi 6’.

However, the designers marked the milestones of their career by participating in high-end platforms like Premia India Runway Week. This assisted the designers to promote their creations in the mainstream fashion world thereby earning immense appreciation and media coverage.

Presently they successfully retail their collection through their store in New Delhi and look forward to launch a La-elite exclusive store in Dubai.
