Though Fashion Museum Palis Galliera is closed for renovation since 2010, but its director Olivier Saillard was always occupied with his exhibitions for redefining clothing and raising the profile of the museum around the world.

Already the name for curating “Virgule, Etc.—In the Footsteps of Roger Vivier”  at the Palais de Tokyo, he has done three exhibitions in the French capital this fall is soon going to do his second performance with actress Tilda Swinton in “Eternity Dress”. This has resulted in high expectation from the reopening of the museum this fall featuring a retrospective on Azzedine Alaïa.

She is known for creating strong and funky accessories for people and animals. An alumnus of NIFT, Shalini Gupta combines traditional Indian methods with international trends, but retains a contemporary feel. Her forte is the intelligent use of craft – painting, crochet, macramé, embroidery and knitting.

In 2000, she decided to launch her own label ‘What’s Pink’. Taking inspiration from beautiful art and design culture of India, the label uses latest techniques which are fresh and young. Known for its accessories line, the brand also produces home accessories and light travel luggage. Proud of being indigenously Indian, she attempts to push threshold of fashion, creativity and art.

Shalini has been showcasing her collection at Wills Lifestyle India Fashion Week and has done various exhibitions. Her designs are available at multi-designer stores Dcube in Hyderabad, Evoluzione in Chennai and Bangalore, Hot Pink in Jaipur and Mumbai and Talisman in Delhi. Internationally her label is retailing from Kraze and Sauce in Dubai and Le Rosh in Jakarta.

Already earning global clienteles for her bold and glamorous designs, ace designer Anupamaa Dayal has extended her reach to audience by her new pop up store in DLF Place Mall in Saket, Delhi.

Opened for next three months, the pop up store has a luxury space and each décor speak of Anupamaa’s personal style and choice. The store takes to you a different world with its colour scheme including gold, mint green and soft pink and with its elements like a luxury tent, a cupboard, mirror, frames, lamps and furniture painted in the designer’s signature colours.

The collection is totally Indian featuring Kurtas, palazzos, light lehengas, salwar variations, dupattas, scarves and accessories. Another special thing about the store is that customers can buy the furniture on back order.

Lecoanet Hemant has partnered with SyngalCorke Wallis, London to reinventing itself with the entire look and feel to give it a contemporary and international edge.

The rebranding strategy is based on the theme of ‘original detail’, representing a conversation that every garment has its own original story. The design reflects this conversation and can be modified for different applications to reveal or conceal different lines.

The website, the logo and the tags for the garments are all in sync with one another with clean lines and the brand name printed in white on a black background. The timeless black and white colour palette was chosen to reflect the brand’s high fashion credentials and enable the beauty and the colour of the clothes to come through. A modified version of the Archer typeface font was used to give it a classic, modern and contemporary look.

The new branding strategy will be rolled out in phases, with the high fashion range being the first to change. Subsequently, the change will take place for the other sub brands as well, including the Ayurganic Collection and the Genes line. It will also be used across all consumer touch points in the store, such as in store graphics.

Porsche Design has got into a special collaboration with the Berlin-based painter Thiery Noir to be unveiled during Art Basel Miami Beach 2013.

Noir has taken the brand’s iconic Twin Bag and incorporated his own signature hand-painted ‘heart faces’ on a very limited edition. The 200 unique handbags will be presented at an exclusive event in Miami on December 3rd, 2013.

The unique collection of Porsche Design’s Thierry Noir Twin Bag will be available to purchase in selective Porsche Design Stores around the world from January 2014.

The most iconic names in contemporary fashion and diverse international brands, Kitsch, has added two distinct Indian designers to its exclusive retail offering, from Eina Ahluwalia and Tahir Sultan for ‘I Love Jaisalmer’ organization at its Defence Colony store, New Delhi.

Luxury Lingerie brand, Victoria’s secret will be introducing their first 3D printed design into their fashion line-up for their big fashion show on December 10. Victoria’s Secret has teamed up with architect Bradley Rothenberg from 3D printing company Shapeways to produce new costumes for the show.

The show will be fairy-tale inspired, with American fashion model Lindsay Ellingson as the Snow Queen, wearing a 3D printed snowflake corset. The corset was created using a full scan of Ellingson’s body to achieve the perfect fit. With a focus on the elegant, sensual form the corset is not just rigid but it’s wearable. 3D printing technology was used to create the beautiful wings, a crown and the geometric characteristics of the design’s snowflake motif, encrusted with millions of Swarovski crystals.
