Designer Shilpa Reddy in her debutante collection for Lakme Fashion Week highlights the aspects of the sacred feminine: a nurturer and a protector, Suriyothai, the Queen of Siam.

The collection gravitates towards energetic colors like reds, yellows along with nurturing pastels. Thai structure and silhouettes with strong shoulder structures and fluid elements blending with each other in light fabrics like net & crepe have been extensively used. The embroidery and stone work is inspired by Thai jewellery in tones of real gold along with precious and semi precious stones, giving pragmatic look to the ensembles.

A rich, delicate and small society for deep intellectual people, the feeling of the fashion week is too strong for the global fashion. The Scandinavian style holds a very strong impact on the international society of fashion.

This season of Spring Summer 14 opened a new venture between Tony & Guy and Copenhagen fashion Week where hair meets fashion. The runway show started with AsgerJuel Larsen – the collection had a feeling of merge of natural life with the mix of technology. Industrial artificial white fabric stunned the initial part of show then followed by organic technological print in black and white which get more impacted by add on of geometric tartan printed jackets and over coat. Finally ending the show with more exaggerated silhouette of golden bronze and black colors. Asger is a rich feeling designer who hold his BA degree from LCF London.

The experimental print continued to the show of Jean Phillip where you see more sartorial structures in mens wear clothing, clean mens suiting followed with sporty printed jacket with black trims in sleeve and collar. Following this the show moved towards more dark sites where there is a mix of dark black color knits with black leather, sometimes with acidic prints on the knits creating more clear statement of serpent style. The ending was more on drapes and flowy silhouette as if dark angels were rising from sea bed.

Han Kjobenhavn was another serious mens wear designer who has created a wide noise in the international fashion scenario. This season he went with a very interesting solution where he merged a sophisticated casual wear to a classic game of table tennis. The runway was not a traditional platform but more conceptual platform where the models walked to the end and then started to play a live table tennis game. The clothes were mostly nude colors and black with grey tapered trousers, flannel jackets, fleece sweater, simple cardigan and long over coat were the simple but most complimented attraction. At the end he wanted to create natural wearable clothing with a more specific approach – it is a very modern wears but simple to understand.
