Sannam Chopra learnt jewellery making and revived it in India. After spending an early part of 2 years learning the market, she set up her own workshop to sample, ideate and create her collections. She further enhanced her skill by doing a jewellery manufacturing course from SNDT.

Having dealt with all major fashion houses in India along with Future Group, Provogue India Ltd & Landmark Group & created jewellery lines for retail stores like Etam, Chemistry & Mineral, Sannam Chopra, co-founded the company Archetype Deusigns with an objective to introduce an array of jewellery with a modern sensibility. Under the company she designed jewellery ranges for various fashion brands & houses. Embellish by Sannam Chopra & Blend Fashion Accessories are accessory brands under the Archetype Deusigns umbrella.

Sannam started the label Embellish in 2008 & prefers to define her work as ‘Beauquir’ which is beautiful & quirky at the same time. Under the label she retails through various multi-designer boutiques across India. She has also worked in collaboration with various designers for their jewellery line & her design work has been occasionally extended to cover bespoke developments of designing bags, belts and footwear for premium service brands.

Her collections have been worn by the likes of Kangana Ranaut, Shraddha Kapoor & Vidya Balan. She launched her own label Blend fashion accessories & Embellish. Embellish has been accentuated with the use of Swarovski crystals, metal rivets and chains. While leather protectors add the desired edge to the jewellery. Modern geometry rules the collection, which ranges from necklaces, earrings, cuffs, hair accessories and bags respectively. The USP of the collection is its bold-aged; softly-rugged look with a dash of colour making each piece dramatic. She is now showcasing at Lakme Fashion Week.

Vocal Fries by OxfordThe days when Queen’s English will echo stiff-lipped in museums only are not that far. With up talking teenyboppers leading the linguistic trends through social networking sites prissy days are gone.

And if the curator of the language, Oxford Dictionary is concerned, then it longs to be the part of the zeitgeist. Thus, its online version is playing cool and celebrating the omnipresence of abbreviations, slangs and other commonly used terms and phrases of internet lingo like lolz, hat tip, tweeps and totes.

The growing influence of fashion bloggers is acknowledged by Oxford Dictionaries Online this year by adding words like vajazzle and soul patch, which are quite prevalent among the masses. It defines them as – vajazzle, v: adorn the pubic area (of women) with crystals, glitter, or other decoration; soul patch, n: a small tuft of facial hair directly below a man’s lower lip.

Stately Silvered BeckhamThe man known for his chameleon-esque tendencies when it comes to style has been kind of immortalized by high street fashion chain H&M by commissioning his giant statutes in US and UK.

David Beckham’s latest range of underwear for H&M, which previously captured the tattooed handle-bar mustached footballer in his sexiest avatar, in the form of black and white images, now uses the silver statues as tall as 10feet to create the buzz.

The well-sculpted only-underwear-wearing David replicas are all shining in the silver glory, with 9 already in US and 2 so far in UK, right outside H&M stores.
