Georgia Leaks Rimmel SecretsOne of the most popular Brit cosmetic brands Rimmel London organized a factory visit for Rimmel London girl Georgia May Jagger to discover the secrets behind the manufacturing of its products.

Georgia started her day by taking a tour of the production lines where she discovered how some of her favourite Rimmel products, like Scandaleyes Mascara, Match Perfection Foundation and Moisture Renew Lipstick, just to name a few, are made. She even got to try her hand at making and assembling products as she helped staff mix pigments for lipsticks and top off mascaras with caps while helping the production staff to maintain their impressive production of one Scandaleyes mascara every 0.8 seconds.

The next part of her visit to Rimmel Ashford Factory led her to R&D labs where she sat down to make her very own match perfection shade. Like a true pro, Georgia mixed ingredients, and worked away in the lab to create her shade and discover the fascinating and complex process and technology behind the Match Perfection foundation. She even got a special sneak peak at the new formula being released later this year.

Later about her experience Georgia said, “Who knew chemistry could be this fun! It was such an incredible opportunity for me to be able to see how it is all made and even have the chance to make my own. I couldn’t wait to tell press all about my experience when I met with them in the afternoon to talk about Rimmel and eye trends for the upcoming season.”

It’s the latest Autumn Winter 2012 ad campaign of Miu Miu which relies heavily on its star power to bring Chloe Sevigny to the fore.

The new face of the brand Chloe poses in a seductive manner wearing printed Miu Miy trousers while holding a floral tea cup in one of the pictures for the campaign shot by photographer duo Mert Alas and Marcus Piggot.

Previously, the brand has had roped in the actresses like Kirsten Dust, HaileeSteinfeld, Evan Rachel Wood and Katie Holmes.

When it comes to Jean Paul Gaultier, unexpected is bound to happen. Like his recent menswear showcasing where the designer belted out a Sikh-inspired line, his couture show was no different and came as a stunner taking inspiration from British musician Pete Doherty.

On offer was an androgynous versatile collection witnessing a mix of seduction, sophistication and elegance in the form of Le Smoking inspired suits, full skirted dresses, reinterpreted versions of jumpsuits, form fitting dresses, waistcoats and tailcoats with a mélange of patterns and materials. The metallic shimmer marrying with furs, fringes, layers and art deco prints ruled the collection.

The reinterpreted version of conical bra, kimono, corset cage, articulate play of sheer, metamorphosed lapels, collars and hems were the few highlights of the collection in the shades of black and gold predominantly.

Etro’s romance with India seems like going intense as the brand presents its Mahabharta inspired menswear collection.

The Spring Summer 2013 collection featuring the rustle of silks, turban and reinterpretation of paisley evokes the Indian spirit of the epic verses of the Mahabharta. Playing on the ideas of roundness, rhythm and light weight, the collection is feminine in principle yet externally virile and powerful.

The silhouettes are maternal, soft and contrasting with the discipline of the tailoring details, using materials like total silk and yarn-dyed cottons with a modern structure. The paisley prints, in its most traditional and original version is interpreted in degrading, softened and mellow shades.

The jackets are with round lapels, the trousers are loose and narrowing around the ankles and the shirts are long and comfortable. The color palette of the collection ranges from blue to brilliant white, also including autumnal shades.

The fabric covered headphones worn like arcane jewellery, shoes with folds of turbans and printed nylon and leather bags complete the collection.

Louboutin Fairy Tale ShoesThe fabled Cinderella comes to life as shoe designer Christian Louboutin and The Walt Disney studio unveil it during Haute Couture Week in Paris recently.

The legendary slippers have been imagined and brought into reality by Christian Louboutin. The iconic shoe with a modern twist comes in the form of delicate lace adorned with crystals, along with two sparkling butterflies, one landing on the vamp while the other sitting closely behind atop of the crystal covered heel, gently brushing the ankle. Louboutin’s signature red soles add the final dash of excitement as twenty of the limited edition original Cinderella’s slippers come alive.
