Her creations reflect elegant sensuality, with a modern attitude…

A fine arts graduate and an ardent painter and architect by profession…

A graduate in Business Administration, Sonia studied courses in fashion design from Sophia Polytechnic and NIFT, before making big in the alleys of fashion.

Sonia’s creations reflect elegant sensuality, with a modern attitude offering an artistic touch, tempered with technical discipline, where garments are modern in form and Indian in expressions with colors and embroideries interplaying in a distinctive Sonia Jetleey style. Her success can largely be attributed to her view that fashion is an intrinsic part of life and therefore the lines emerge as eminently wearable.  Comfortable variations in styling retain client interest.

Seven years after she launched her Studio in the capital’s prime Defence Colony area, Sonia revels in profession of dressing the Who’s Who. The designer has many accolades to her name. In August 2004 Sonia with Kavita Bhartia showcased on an ICCR platform, via a series of four fashion shows entitled “Princess of India” held in Tashkent and Almaty, clearly the first Indian fashion show which  thus charted the track of a historical – cultural evolution. The Collection enjoyed rave reviews in both destinations.

Sonia currently retails from her flagship store, The Fashion Studio in Defence Colony, New Delhi. Besides she also retails through some of the best fashion addresses in the country in Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, and Hyderabad and overseas in Dubai, Riyadh, Kuwait, Canada etc.

Dolly J is the label by Delhi based designer Dolly Jhunjhunwala. This multi-faceted personality forayed into fashion some 4 years back. A fine arts graduate and an ardent painter and architect by profession, Dolly finally found her ultimate calling in the world of haute-couture.

An artist at heart with a passion for designing, Dolly J is a fashion designer who surpasses expectations with her unique collection skillfully combining unconventional cuts with traditional curves. Her creations marked the beginning of innovation, experimentation and creativity for effervescent India. Undeterred by the challenges in venturing into a new area of expertise, Dolly J has selflessly dedicated herself into creating new designs sans any form of influence. Blending all forms of strokes and designs, her collection subtly convey the message of liveliness, pulsation and its embedded philosophies of freedom of thought, thereby relieving hard realism.

Dolly J is known as a textile person and her effort has always been to explore the different weaves and texturing on fabrics. She combines these with prints and traditional embroidery techniques to create the ensemble. Always inspired by the eclectic world of textiles, the designer has the penchant for the rare and focuses on detail. In the breadth and depth of the canvas, the garments she creates are truly a remarkable testimony of her purity, and the insignia of an uncommon vision.

Besides retailing from her studio at Hauz Khas Village in New Delhi, the label "Dolly J" is also available at some of the most premium stores across the country like Ogaan (Delhi and Mumbai), Samsaara (Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore), Kimaya (Mumbai and Delhi), Aza (Mumbai and Delhi) and Elahe (Hyderabad).
