The latest Spring Summer ’11 collection draws its inspiration from Indian style of wearing clothes and represents the accumulation of its transitional journey from outlandish Royalty to the current times futuristic global world vision. This collection brings a unique Eccentric Rock style of wearing or draping cloths as two Yards or six Yards fabric is so much full of versatility. This can be worn in many ways with different ornamentation or instrumental changes.
Silhouettes are a unique style of draping compliments a powerful womanhood. Dresses had been created delicately with padded or shrugged shoulders, tapering to clutch the hips, and building up to dynamic feats of diagonal pleating that crosses the torso in one direction and shot across the hips in the others. Most of the outfits carried of some most exotic embroidery rolled up with the addition of chunky metal balls, chains and rock-crystal Swarovski layered with dynamic contradictions.

Colors taken from nature like deep sea green, dark shimmering sea blue, colors from deep tree roots, hard grey from Lime rock stones, sensual breezy colors of flowers, just to give a strong dynamic groundy-rooty looks in a true sense.

The Next Episode currently sells through the Mecca of Middle East Fashion S*uce stores, galleries in Kuwait and Galleria Conti in London, Loa Fashion, Paris, France.

The collection for Spring Summer 2011 by Dozakh is conceptualized under the unique theme “A Beautiful Mind”. If the human mind is strong enough to create reality, why can’t reality be entirely beautiful?

Masters of their craft, who chose to soar beyond the average mind, succumbed to murderous webs spun by their own psyches. Freedom and responsibility are considered inseparable and yet one loses out to the other in a mere illusion of the mind.

The silhouette integrates the romanticism of the pre-Raphaelite period where art was at its finest, but the glory was short lived. Intricately designed free flowing chiffons are broken by complex rushing, gathering and pin tucks. Ombre shades give way to strong shadow work hiding beneath the wistful folds of sheer fabric. Temperamental reds and grey’s, quixotic off-whites, soft pale pinks, blood reds and shades of navy comes  together in an effort to lay an extensive framework of a beautiful mind.

Retake. Remake. Recycle. Have you been tagged yet? That’s what National Institute of Fashion Technology wants to know as it celebrates it’s 25th anniversary. With their theme of Tagged Green, NIFT is trying to promote the use of eco-friendly materials and create awareness about the importance of going green. The fest started with an inauguration followed by events like Slow Cycling Race and Body Art as well as workshops such as Madhubani painting, organized by The People’s Project.

The evening saw a spectacular fashion show with various departments showcasing their collections which used ‘environmentally friendly’ materials. The day ended with the Levi’s surface ornamentation competition finalists displaying their creations.

The second day began with a group dance and choreography competition where Gargi College and Kamla Nehru College bagged the first prizes. With events like ‘Act and React’ and ‘Ad Mad’, NIFT made sure everyone had a good time. The evening was an exciting mixture of culture and music as Indian Ocean and Rabbi Shergill performed in front of a huge crowd.

The last day awaits a performance by popular artiste Juggy.D on DJ night, a time for all the students to let their hair down and celebrate the end of a wonderful college festival. The NIFT fest has been a hugely successful event that was visited by crowds of people all over Delhi.
