Talking to Tinu Verghis is like a bout of self analysis, soliloquy, self exploration and self congratulations. The very outright Tinu lives her every belief and stands for them with her bold and unjudgemental voice. Be it her undaunted standing for the ethical fashion or be it her move towards the betterment of the life of the Goan farmers, she is a model with a socially awakened soul.  Unconventionally beautiful and conventionally charming, Tinu is a brave woman of today who makes her living like a fearless roaring lioness. From ramps to the streets she is found dawning the processions with her dusky staring-right-in-your-eyes looks.

Fashionfad got into a candid conversation with fashionably fancy free and freely unscrupulous Tinu Verghis over her authentic and authoritative life.

What do you love most that you can even die for?
The only thing I want is to live forever.

What is the moment that you always want to carry close to your heart like a baby in a sling?
I don’t live in the past nor in the future. I live for today. I don’t care a damn about moments of emotional awakening. I have none of those.

Have you ever woken up with a thought that its enough of modeling, I want to explore something else out of me?
Modeling has opened all doors for me. Today I can talk about illiteracy among women and introduce a way to beat that and people will pay heed. Modeling is just a stepping stone for altering the lives and attitude of people around me. Today I can be an influence to others, sometimes for the better and other times for the worst.

What is spirituality to u?
Being at peace with who you are.

The most interesting man you have ever met?
Quentin Staes Polet, I am lucky to share my bed with him every night.

And what was so interesting about him?
A gentleman with a heart of gold, an adrenaline junkie with a body of an 18 year old.

Any guilty pleasure?
Whatever.

What is life to you? Is Tinu Verghis’s life somehow different from a just-another-recognized-common lady?
I have approx 100 years to live and I have finished one quarter already. There is no coming back and I want to live the rest of it full power. No soul seeking, spiritual shaking, mind numbing societal bullshit for me.

It is the usual perception that green rooms produce the stoned models on the ramps. What’s your take on this?
What you do with your life is your prerogative, as long as you are not violating someone else privacy. Do office rooms produce sex offenders? or Photo Studios produce pedophiles? or press rooms produce coke heads? or A rock star’s  room produce junkies? I know many girls who are not into substance abuse. So generalizing is a bad concept.

If there were such a thing as fashion royalty, than surely the top event on their must go-to list would be the International Herald Tribune’s Heritage Luxury Conference. The IHT Luxury Conference brought out the C.E.Os of the top luxury fashion and retail houses to discuss everything about their own businesses, the significance of heritage luxury in the 21st century and the state of the luxury market in general.

Day two’s highlight was Ralph Lauren where he discussed about his plan to offer the public his futuristic vision in which "architectural mapping" technology is used on a store facade in London creating what the brand calls a “4-D” experience .

This “ultimate collision of fashion, art and technology” celebrates a decade of the less well-known side of the patrician brand: its digital universe. And Ralph Lauren is using the event to introduce in Britain — for the first time outside the United States — its e-commerce operation, which already produces $200 million a year in the United States.

It’s a flight of fancy. A coming together of two powerful brands that together make the lifestyle offering of the Paradox chain of lifestyle stores even more invincible. Casa Paradox added a very sumptuous, hand- picked GRANTOUR Collection by Cavalli, Italy adding it to its sprawling Flagship Space at “ The GALLERY ON MG “ , New Delhi.

Creatively driven by India’s leading interior architect Raseel Gujral and her business man husband, Navin Ansal,  Casa Paradox saw an instant connect with this much evolved, global brand and their own design. A world renowned furniture brand, IPE Cavalli recreates sumptuous lifestyles through three collections, of which Grantour is one distinct collection.

“As the globe shrinks and the seven seas become part of our frequent flying program, transport today is becoming more and more an integral part of our life. The Grantour collection to us feels like travelling uber class through life. We found an instant connect between the Indian connoisseurs penchant for all things larger than life,” says Raseel Gujral.

What earlier created emotion for the duration of a voyage can now be experienced on a day to day basis.  It’s almost like travelling from one room to another rather than transcontinental destination.  Elements typical of ships such as portholes, the chords, the steel, the wood, and the lacquers have been used in the collection.

Mesmerized by Casa Paradox’s Voyage were Ritu Kumar, Raghavendra Rathore,JJ Vallaya,Jas Arora ,Preeti Chandra,Feroz Gujral,Alka & Monu Bali,Priya Jain,Satish Gujral,Alpana Gujral,Rahul & Rohit Gandhi,Suneet Verma,Ravi Bajaj,Neeva Jain,Cheena Wig, Shabnam Singhal,Nalini Singh,Suresh Nanda,Reynu Tandon & Nikita Tandon,Peter Punjand many more.
