The PHD Chamber & Indian Culinary Forum (ICF) along with Indian Federation of Culinary Associations is celebrating the International Chef’s Day and Gourmet Specialty Week in New Delhi from 8th to 12th November. This is the seventh year of this prestigious culinary event instituted to honour & recognize chefs across the capital for their gourmet expertise. Different competitions is held in various categories among chefs and the best ones will win the Chef Awards on International Chef’s Day to be held at The Ashok on Sunday, 14th November 2010, 8 pm onwards.

The Gourmet Specialty Week is been held at DLF Place Saket, DLF Emporio, Shipra Mall Indirapuram and DLF City Club, Gurgaon. This include culinary demonstrations by executive chefs from leading hotels of the capital like ITC Welcomgroup, Maurya Sheraton, Le Meridien, Taj Palace, Inter Continental, Mariott ,Vasant Continental etc. Chefs competition will also be held from 10th – 12th November at the Pusa Institute and an eminent jury will be judging these chefs throughout for Chef Awards.

This year the award category includes Golden Hat Chef award (the highly acclaimed award among culinary professionals), Silver Hat Chef Award, Master chef for different cuisines, Kitchen Artist award, Food Critic award, Lady Chef of the Year award, and many more.

The Awards Night, like every year, will be marked by the presence of who’s who of hospitality industry in India, including Owners, General Managers of major hotels and hundreds of Chefs from across the country along with various celebrities and eminent industrialists.
