Sabyasachi launched his flagship store “Sabyasachi” in Mumbai at Kalaghoda and celebrating the occasion with him was his muse Rani Mukherjee.

Sabyasachi has proven to be a confident and experimental practitioner who has pushed the boundaries of retail and design beyond its established traditional role. Inspired by old world glamour, travel and all things beautiful, the store epitomizes modern design through its enticing space. Along with women’s ready to wear collection the store offers a wide range of bridal and trousseau, fine jewellery, footwear and accessories and menswear. It also offers personal styling and private appointment with the design studio for custom orders.

Continuing the company’s ongoing pursuit for innovative and sustainable design the opening of the store also witnessed the launch of the ‘Save a Saree’ initiative. This initiative comprises of a capsule collection of bespoke hand woven sarees curated by Sabyasachi, the proceeds of which would go to the weavers. This is an exercise to revive hand-weaving and translate the craft into popular culture thus continuing their folklore. This initiative is being strongly supported by Sabyasachi’s long time muses Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Vidya Balan.

Clocks chimed through the evening as guests were treated to rose sherbet and roasted almonds as they sifted through the garments at Sabya’s new store and gazed at the numerous pictures that adorned the store walls.

Rinku Sobti, a Delhi based fashion designer, brings out her latest collection of Indian Occasion wear for the season.

Encompassing a range of gowns, lehengas, tunics her collection is available in ultra vibrant colours including pink, red, green, pearl blue color palettes. The designs of her new collection cater to a very distinct persona and the styles are for a self determining individual who is modern, chic and loves fashion. Fabrics like jersey, organza, dupion, crushed satins etc have been used generously to make her collection all the more appealing.

Experiments in terms of designs, work of high quality, finesse of the embroidery, blending of fabrics and materials are what lend an antique touch to her range.  Her latest collection is very elegant, flowing, graceful & easy to carry.

Rinku Sobti has been serving the Fashion Industry from past 15 years.  She launched her own brand label- RINKU SOBTI in the year 1995. Her collection encompasses a perfect blend of western-cuts and Indian ethnic designs & stands out for its originality and enchanting style.

“The collection is an amalgamation of love, beauty, romance & fashion not to forget” says the designer. Unusual patterns & intelligent use of elements combinations are what the designer offers in her latest collection.

Adding oomph to their opulent signature style, Anjalee and Arjun Kapur now launch A&AK, a young, edgy, evening-wear label for the jet setting lady. With four stores in Delhi and Mumbai, A& A K has become a one stop shop for women with enough pizzazz to carry the hottest picks of the season with sassy confidence.

The latest collection is bold, fun, chic and is all about high end glamour. The silhouettes vary from structured to free flowing to drapes which gives you ample range to choose from. There is intricate detailing in the form of stitch feathers and broaches yet the ornamentation has been kept minimalist to keep the emphasis on the texturing and embroidery. This makes it a perfect range to choose from for formal lunches to a red carpet appearance.

The vibrant colors enhance the appeal of the clothes. Fabrics like Chiffons, georgettes, satins, silk jerseys have been used. Sensually draped and tucked shift dresses, exotically crafted Victorian style gowns dresses that speak of panache and an exquisite blend of a very evolved digital printing, placement beading and embroidered detailing make each ensemble by A&AK a perfect show stopper.

After a long time the duo has brought out a bridge collection, a tasteful mix of high end couture and prêt. The collection typically speaks to a woman who knows her mind, is confident and not afraid to experiment with the latest trends. Each piece of clothing has been branded by the special brass tags with the A& AK logo.
