Mr & Mrs Nath of Logix group  along with Khushii presented ASMITA, an initiative to support the cause of the Girl Child at The Oberoi Hotel, New Delhi. On the occasion Sanjana Jon and Miss Universe 2009, Ms. Stefania Fernandez also created awareness about their ongoing AIDS awareness tour 2010.

Under the aegis of World Action Forum, Asmita by Logix Groups is an endeavor of Logix group to save the girl child.  Logix group also takes an opportunity to donate to 3 different NGOs – Salaam Balam Trust, Sakshan & Love and Care in their bid to speed up the initiative taken for the cause.

Commenting on the occasion, Mr. Kapil Dev, Chairperson, Khushii, said, “We are proud to welcome yet another member to our umbrella of World Action Forum. We have seen the contribution that Logix has been making to the society and it is an honour for us to take forward their initiatives and cause.”

Khushi believes this endeavour will not only reduce the financial burden on each individual agency, but will also ensure the care provided under this common umbrella benefits from the core expertise of different members. It is a colossal task, but the impact will be far greater than the largest achievement of each individual organization. As the NGO forum grows with more members, so will our reach and impact for the benefit of our planet.

The LAP Garden Bar carries on the festivities of their Spanish summer bar festival with the introduction of the display of works by Nandita Basu and artist Siddhartha Tawadey at “Las Ramblas” the garden’s ode to the summer months in the capital. Despite the pouring rain, Fashion lovers and party goers alike, turned up ‘fashionably’ late but in large numbers to enjoy the sudden respite from the capital’s scorching heat.

Elements of “Surrealism” had been an inspiration for the display by Nandita Basu at Las Ramblas in The LAP Garden. Rooted deeply in Salvador Dali’s techniques of juxtaposing the real with surreal. A common occurrence in Dali’s works ants are chosen that represent death and decay. Another symbolic object clocks that signify time and impermanence are incorporated by the designer into installation. Dali formulated his paranoiac – critical method by cultivating self induced psychotic hallucinations. In his works “time bends” and hard objects seem like they are melting or limp, whereas, metal attracts ants like rotting flesh. Some of this key imagery has been translated by Nandita in her display.

A Dream Narrative by Siddhartha Tawadey has photographic images that attempt to initiate a dialogue with the viewer by the use of meaningful expression to truly see the dreams of the artist, and yet leave the interpretation open as he or she wishes. The Installation consists of Individual Images and Triptychs -Three Individual frames that are juxtaposed to capture an alternate sense of reality. The attempt of juxtaposed images is to bring the inner realities of the subconscious to the conscious mind, the object photographed stands as a metaphor for an inner reality. It seeks to show the meaning of the myriad analogies and symbiotic relationships that exists between elements.

Seen appreciating the installations and enjoying the Spanish Festival were Namrata Joshipura, Vidushi & Nikhil Mehra, Suneet Verma, Blanca & Nishant Peralta, Chetan and Amita Seth, Monisha Bajaj, Actor Mukul Dev, Kashif Farooq amongst many others.

The svelte stature touching 6 feet with laissez faire attitude defines Aditi Tyagi. Her presence is alluring enough to be classified as the geisha of Indian modeling fraternity. Blessed with the glinting eyes, glowing visage and de rigueur bearing this diva illuminates the ambience every time she steps in the room.

This head-turning-eye-popping beauty started her modeling career when she was merely 16 and since that day offers and assignments run after her. Having done a course in acting from NSD she thinks that the Bollywood is not meant for her. So Fashionfad.in gets into a candid conversation with her right from her fittings for Chennai Fashion Week and made her to speak more about style, fashion, modeling industry and her ambitions.

Your interpretation of fashion…….
Fashion for me….?  Umm… It means a lot to me. It’s very individualistic – the style of your own and the style you create. I don’t believe in following the fashion trends blindly and buying the designer clothes just for the sake of it. I mean what I wear should reflect me – my tastes, my preferences, my individuality and me as a whole. Moreover I get bored of old clothes. I don’t wear the clothes that I wear once. So I can say that change is another characteristic of my definition of fashion.

Shows and commercials graced by you……
Ahhhh…..I have done commercials for NDTV Good Times and Network 18 and walked in Wills Lifestyle Fashion Week 2010, Kolkata Fashion Week and Chennai Fashion Week.

The way you bumped into modeling……
Actually modeling happened to me when I was still in 12th standard. I used to do stuff     for friends but when I went to college, offers started pouring in. I had to never run after the work. Later Elite signed me and helped me a lot with it.

Parent’s viewpoint when you chose modeling as a career…..
My parents always knew that I would be a model one day. I am genetically programmed to be tall and slim, in fact I am tallest in my family. I never thought about any other career and always fascinated to be a part of glamour industry. As everybody in my family is well educated and erudite, so my parents never wanted me to ignore my studies owing to modeling. Otherwise my parents have always been very supportive and motivating about my ambitions of modeling.

A peep into your formative years…..
I have a nuclear family. My dad is a Chartered Accountant and my mom is P.H.D and teaches chemistry to higher classes. I have done my graduation in political science (hons.) from I.P. college in Delhi. Besides I have a diploma in mass communication from St. Stephens, D.U. And in status quo I am engaged in my P.G in fashion designing from J.D Institute of Fashion Technology. So my stint with designing helped me a lot in my profession. Actually one of my cousin sister has her brand in U.S, so I want to join her later once I am done with my modeling.

The secret behind your head-turning looks….
(Laughs)…I am blessed with it. My grandma had a beautiful skin so I don’t have to be much bothered about it. But still as my profession wants me to be always presentable so I make sure that I clean my face properly and moisten it. Besides I do drink a lot of water.

Future in Bollywood…..
I am not a Bollywood person at all. As I am too thin and tall – size zero, and to be in Bollywood you need to be inclined towards the buxom body types. Though I have done a course in acting from NSD Delhi, so I won’t mind if I get any good offer some 2 or 3 years later. But till then I want to continue with modeling.

Idea of an ideal date…..
It should be extraordinary – not that cliché candle-lit-dinner-beach-side type. I mean it should be different. Guy should plan it well with good music, champagne and beautiful ambience. I want it to remember for my life time.

You employ your leisure time by……
I am lot into sports like basketball and swimming. And besides I love to paint and sketch whenever I manage to get some time for myself. I have this incorrigible love for music too.

Any touching moment of your life….
I think when I got selected for Wills Fashion Week that moment was so close to my heart. It was like clocking up your long harbored dream.

Your take on this industry……
I think this industry is not the way people think of it. There are many false notions like this industry is not safe for girls, sexual abuse, substance abuse and blah blah blah…..but quite contrarily its all about you and your values. If you have a strong head, no one can exploit you. Besides for me I work here and get paid for it. It’s a pocket money for me. I didn’t ask for money from my parents since the day I started working.

Your greatest achievement…..
Its just the beginning. I have a long way to go and have to go too far. I mean greatest achievements are yet to be attained.

Mademoiselle was fascinated by lipstick to such an extent that she created a creamy stick of lip colour in 1954 inserted in a rectangular tube, the exact replica of the No5 spray bottle. This iconic lipstick was designed to accompany woman throughout their lives.

ROUGE COCO adorms itself in new attire: metal. This material also has the unique ability to cool very rapidly and thus offers a sensation of freshness each time your hand plunges into your handbag to find your lipstick.

Some would call them perfectionists. No matter how they are described, the engineers who worked on the closure system of ROUGE COCO underwent innumerable trials, opening and closing hundreds of tubes to obtain an ideal balance between a soft press on the cap and the sound of the click. A precise detail that gives this black case a significant extra touch of luxury.

More than a style accessory, ROUGE COCO harmonises with the comfort of women. The melt-away texture is extremely soft on application and delivers a satiny finish.

The formula guarantees optimum lip hydrating thanks to the HYDRATENDER complex created by CHANEL with the unique combination of a Meadow foam oil derivate, natural esters and phyto-ceramids.

In Peter Phillips’ own words “ROUGE COCO fascinates me, because I’ve never seen a texture this comfortable and easy to apply. It’s the ready-to-wear lipstick. Just one sweep over the lips, colours them and covers them in a melt-away balm. This is why I wanted the colour palette to be accessible as the creamy texture. Of course, we have kept the iconic shades – such as Sari Core, created with the very first launch in 1954, and Rouge Noir, launched in 1996 – but I also wanted to experiment with very subtle variations, half-tones of pink, red and brown.

I like the idea that women from the gloss generation, who are afraid of lipstick, can return to this essentially feminine beauty step with ROUGE COCO. A woman who touches up her mouth with lipstick – what a beautiful sight to see! It changes your attitude. It’s like nail varnish. Your posture seems straighter. You hold yourself differently. Lipstick is accompanied by delicate poise” says, Peter Phillips, GLOBAL CREATIVE DIRECTOR FOR CHANEL MAKEUP.
