The annual British Designer’s Collective Boutique at Bicester Village celebrated its fifth instalment with the inclusion of some fresh debutante designers and a whooping amount of discount, for the designers’ previous years’ collections.

Collaboration between Bicester Village and the British Fashion Council, the British Designer’s Collective is open through 22nd May to 17th August and features designers like Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto and Jonathan Saunders, alongside freshers such as Michael van der Ham and Ryan Lo.

The event is an effective platform for these young designers who otherwise get fewer opportunities to promote their collections in the mainstream fashion world, along with the giants in the London Fashion Week.

Meanwhile, this year’s collective also features the return of some fashion houses, House of Holland, Lulu & Co, J.W.Anderson, Richard Nicoll, Lucas Nascimento, and Roksanda Ilincic among others. Also, the collective uniquely collaborates this year with The Keeper’s House at The Royal Academy of Arts, which is also the inspiration behind the boutique.

Attending the celebration were avant-garde designers like Emilia Wickstead, J.JS Lee, Ryan Lo, Natalia Barbieri of Bionda Castana, Holly Fulton, Claire Barrow along with the curator Yasmin Sewell and people from The Royal Academy of Art.

The youngest Oscar nominee, Quvenzhané Wallis has been officially declared as the new face of Armani Junior, Giorgio Armani’s kids and teens-wear line.

The ten year old enthusiastically cherishes her selection for representing the luxury brand, whose new campaign is shot by Stefano Azario.

The little celebrity was recently featured in the Hollywood movie, ’12 years a slave’ and will now star along with Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz for the campaign. She, in her own artistic way makes the ensembles come alive and interprets them singularly, says Giorgio.

Gucci announced the debut of the House’s first temporary museum in São Paulo’s JK Iguatemi mall. The three-week Gucci Museo “Forever Now” exhibit will open on May 29th and replicate the House’s Florentine museum, a living spaceencapsulating its “Forever Now” philosophy that pays tribute to Gucci’s heritage while looking to the future.

The exhibition will boast an array of rare archival pieces on loan from the Gucci Museo within different thematic spaces inspired by the House’s signature motifs and symbols. The travel theme will feature prominently with an exhibit of trunks, suitcases, accessories and articles created for the international jet-set, whose custom helped to bring international acclaim to Gucci in the Fifties, Sixties and Seventies.

The journey through the history of Gucci will also allow a glimpse at the evolution of the House’s beloved Bamboo bag, dating back to 1947 when Gucci’s Florentine artisans invented a creative solution to war-time rationing of materials. A dedicated space will showcase the legacy of the Flora motif, the iconic floral pattern that has spurred multiple interpretations over time.

A special area will allow guests to view a selection of Gucci Première haute couture gowns, designed by Frida Giannini and worn by friends of the House on the most prestigious red carpets.
