The collection that celebrates life will see the designer breaking her signature pastel and bright color palette to incorporate a range of deeper colours like black, nude, ivory, mustard, emeralds, midnight blue, aubergine, hot pink, red and burgundy.
On display will be traditional styles of saris and lehangas, along with a unique silhouette that marries the two together. The silhouette offers an interesting alternative to traditional clothing maintaining the classic style of a lehanga with the grace of the traditional sari. The highlight of the collection will be contrasting blouses teaming with high embellished necklines omitting the need for jeweled neckpieces.

The functional magnificent piece of art, the 3D Vu-Tarun Tahiliani Couture TV with built in PC is available in 55” dimension and has been designed with unusual ornamental patterns constructed through the use of calligraphy and geometry. The fine use of latticework in muted Swarovski elements lends it a very subtle yet stylish feel.
The collection paying reverence to the omnipresence of the almighty in our lives features flared and layered skirts, dhoti inspired skirt, high collared tops, pleated pants and sarees for women. While for men the designer offers long Indian sherwani look, with semi-transparent shirt kurta and draw string pants.
Besides the hand woven fabrics of Bhagalpur the designer uses tassar, matka, katan and monga fabrics to keep the collection as close to natural as possible. The color palette is comprised of blue, beige and black.
The inspiration of the surface texturing and embellishments comes from Iznik tiles of turkey having this distinct colour of cobalt-blue and the serene presence of divinity.
The collection draws on the subtle similarities and the definite dissimilarities between the two different yet same characters. The idea of the designer is to marry the gentle, carefree and frugal with the structured, systematic and ornamental.
The designs well interpret this contradiction as the layered separates are draped and wrapped alongside more constructed shapes. The palette embodies the origins of both the sadhu and the samurai with an arrangement of burnt orange, crimson and ochre, with coffee brown, charcoal, bronze and indigo whereas the silhouettes are long and relaxed.
For the week the designer has worked on four collections – ‘Sajala’, clouds with golden lining; ‘Mandara’, the mythical tree; ‘Elavia’, a thing of beauty and grace; ‘Ayiana’, the eternal bloom – in her signature style that blends traditional hand embroideries with modern day silhouettes, specially woven fabrics and real zari.

While a vibrant colour palette of rose pinks, bright reds, vermillion worked with resham flowers form ‘Elavia’ – a collection of saris with Pallavi’s signature flowers with a different twist.
