Denim Dashed at CannesThe ruggedness of denim took over the ethereal French Riviera as G-Star opened its new flagship store in Cannes, of late.

G-Star, known for its characteristic innovative style in the world of denim, hosted a special store opening during the 65th Cannes film festival with a night of performance, art, music andfashion. 

The store was officially opened by G-Star’s forthcoming campaign face, Americanactor Caleb Landry Jones, featuring in the Autumn Winter 2012 campaign of the brand and English singer-songwriter Anna Calvi.

Besides, a couple of musical renditions, the opening also saw the travelling Denim Museum, containing the RAW Art Series that contextualized denim as collectable art objects. 
Moreover, a G-Star Pop-up show, transforming a catwalk show into real live interaction on a mini scale enthralled the guests including Lou Lesage, Beatrice Rosen, DelphineChaneac, Shirley Bousquet, Christophe Barratier and AurelienWiik amongst others.

Versace Fall Winter 2012 Ad CampaignThe sexy rock vibe of Versace’s Fall Winter 2012 is well reflected by the brand’s latest ad campaign for the season.

Abandoning the citrus hued extravaganza, as previously seen in its advertisements, Versace romances with black and white, evoking nostalgia. The Autumn Winter 2012 campaign features Dutch model ElzaLuijendijk in printed dress and fishnet stocking while Dmitriy Tanner, along with Philipp Schmidt and KaceyCarrig for Versace men’s campaign appeared in Elvis Presley kind of hairstyle and glittering shirt.

The retro-styled campaign has been shot by celebrated photographers Mert Alas and Marcus Piggott.
