The iconic Fashion Brand announced their entry into India on the 28th of May, 2010 at The Select City Walk Mall in New Delhi, bringing the number of countries in which they do business to 77.
Inditex debuted in the Indian market through a joint venture with Trent Limited, a Tata Group company. "The entry in the Indian market has a significant strategic importance for Inditex. India is one of our top priorities in the Asia region where Zara’s retail offering has been very well received," says Jesus Echvarria, Chief Communications Officer, Inditex.
Lara Dutta was one of the main highlights of the evening. Dressed in a striking blue ZARA dress with an electric pink ZARA clutch, Lara showed her support for the brand.
A Fashion Show, choreographed by Aparna Bahl, saw models like Indrani Dasgupta, Joey Mathew, Carol Gracias, Bhavna Sharma walking the ramp in trendy ZARA outfits.
