Lap Gardens ode to the summer months, this week saw the installations by Spanish photographer, Carlos Berruezo and designer Pallavi Mohan.

Carlos Berruezo’s installation titled “A walk along Barcelona’s Diagonal Avenue” showcased Barcelona as a beguiling city, its sea views were commanding which makes the city very special. Nevertheless its most charming features must be found in its streets, avenues, buildings and fountains.

The photographs in display represent a walk along Diagonal Avenue. It is a stroll through the upper part of buildings to which we never pay attention and which sometimes are of great beauty, says Carlos Berruezo.

Designer Pallavi Mohan showcased “De espiritu libre” with macramé and the frills striking the right chord in la-Spanish ambience.

The installation of her garment upside down like a giant umbrella spoke the true essence of her collection- carefree and fun. The sheer volume of her clothes easily made one draw parallel with a magnamous dragon-flower.

Taking inspiration from Murano’s glassmaker Pallavi Mohan created a magnum opus with a palette ranging from offwhite , yellows to indigo and coral. Multiple layer and tiers of silk, chiffon and ramie draped luxuriously to create that splendid, summer chic.
