Gucci seems in no mood to miss out on any opportunity, in the thriving luxury market of India. Lately, the storied Italian luxury label opened its fifth and largest store in India.

Located at The Oberoi, Gurgaon, the store spans more than 4,220 square feet over two floors, and boasts of a design concept by Frida Gianni. To mark this special launch, Gucci held a private cocktail party at the newly opened store – hosted by Patrizio di Marco, Gucci President & CEO with Vikram Oberoi of The Oberoi Group.

To commemorate the opening, exclusive iconic pieces from the Gucci Museo were showcased. These include items that represent the Houses’ eternal icon – the Flora pattern along with a selection of evening gowns from the House’s Florentine archives. Women’s ready to wear, original drawings of the Flora scarf from 1966, handbags with the flora and unique porcelain items were displayed on the ground floor.

Gucci Première dresses worn by Jessica Alba, Berenice Bejo and Salma Hayek along with a one of a kind dress worn by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan was on display on the first floor. A large selection of these pieces and evening gowns were showcased for the first time. The exclusive exhibit will be on display for a month at the store.

The launch evening saw few illustrious names from all walks of life including the Ambassador of Italy, H.E. Giacomo Sanfelice di Monteforte, Armando Branchini, Nargis Fakhri, Rahul Khanna, Ayushmann Khurana, Tanisha Mohan, Ranna Gill, Gaurav Gupta, Siddhartha Tytler, Rohit Gandhi & Rahul Khanna, Kapil Chopra, Bela Madan, Shilpa Dhingra, Ammu Saidi, Subodh Gupta, Shabnam Singhal, Mandira Koirala, Amita & Chetan Seth, Ramola Bachchan, Aneesa Dhody, Robbie Mohan, Sangeeta Assomull, Amrita Thakur, Amitabh Kant, Anil & Cheena Vig, Anjana Bhargava, Soumya Khurana, Gunjita Dhawan, Kanika Saluja and Payal Sen among others.
