Gucci will open up its first restaurant in the spring of 2020 in Los Angeles, alongside other luxury brand boutiques on Rodeo Drive. It will be the second restaurant by the Kering and the first outside of Italy.

Gucci Garden (dubbed ‘Osteria’) was a passion project by CEO Marco Bizzarri and his friend, three-Michelin-star Massimo Bottura. The partnership between the chef and luxury label spans many decades. Lately, fellow parent company LVMH, has also been eyeing Rodeo Drive. Beginning in March 2018 LVMH began purchasing neighbouring property on the promenade totalling more than 50,000 square feet. Sources allege that the luxury conglomerate, which recently purchased Tiffany & Co., is toying with an idea to open a Dior restaurant and a Cheval Blanc hotel.
