The décor is a little more playful, lighter and a brighter space than its counterpart viz; the characteristic suitcase wall in Nariman Point, has its very own version, this time with vintage bread boxes.

430Mexican filmmaker and director of a masterpiece movie like ‘Gravity’-Alfonso Cuaron was honoured for his life’s work at the Museum of Modern Art in New York on 10th November.

Former Academy Award winner, Alfonso has been making films for as many as 20 years and has bagged a fan following that includes everyone from Michael Bloomberg, Julian Schnabel, Jonathan Tisch and Soumaya Slim to Leelee Sobieski, Poppy Delevingne, Joan Smalls and Katie Holmes.

The artist shares his experiences with other Mexican filmmakers like Guillermo del Toro and Alejandro González Iñárritu, all whom have been responsible for the new wave of Latin cinema in the early 2000s.

Over the years, the bond amongst this triumphant trio has deepened to unprecedented levels wherein they share interests in the same political issues and complement each other’s works.

However, Alfonso himself claims to be a big fan of Iñárritu’s new critically acclaimed film, ‘Birdman’, which in his words, is one of the best films he’s seen in a long time.

430 11Having opened their stores amongst all tier A cities, Mumbai was possible next for the luxury label. Lately, Michael Kors store at Palladium mall in Lower Parel, hosted a cocktail soiree for Mumbai’s celebrities.

The 1,502-square-foot store, located at Palladium, echo the label’s chic aesthetic, using zebra-print furniture, sleek metal fixtures and mirrored surfaces. Glossy, large-scale vintage photographs cover the walls, evoking jet set glamour and timeless sophistication.

Designed by in-house team the store houses a mix of accessories from MICHAEL Michael Kors, as well as watches, jewelry, footwear and eyewear. The store also carries a selection of the brand’s fragrances.

430In an attempt to revive the long lost royalty of Indian traditions, Anshu Khanna launched Royal Fables, a one-of-a-kind exposition that presents the rich and cultural imprint of Imperial India. The exposition marked its debut show in Mumbai’s Palladium Hotel on 7th November, wherein creations from the craft and fashion workshops of all the Royal families of India could be viewed in the most luxurious and exuberant fashion.

Hosted by Gayatri Ruia, the evening marked the fusion of vintage art, design, and crafts of these regal patrons with an emphatic modern context.

430 13The French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton celebrated its 160th anniversary by hosting an exotic Monogram Dinner at the Museum of Modern of Art on 7th November. The celebration also honoured the brand’s commendable ‘The Icon and the Iconoclasts’ Project which bought together six icons namely Karl Lagerfeld, Marc Newson, Rei Kawakubo, Cindy Sherman, Frank Gehry and Christian Louboutin.

The festive soiree was accompanied by the crème de la crème of fashion world, all under one roof. Nicole Kidman, Christian Louboutin, Ashley Olsen, Karlie Kloss, Miranda Kerr, will.i.am, Jennifer Connelly and Cindy Sherman to name a very few, were present to rejoice the grand occasion.
