1Simrat D’Mello is a forager of dreams. She picks up the bits and pieces the world leaves behind in its haste, and weaves them together to reveal images we have all conjured in our sleep. She has done her graduation in fashion designing from NIFT, Delhi and has also persuaded Jewellery Manufacturing Course from IIGJ, Mumbai.

She started her own label ‘Chiria’ in 2012. Using animal bones, brass pipes, fabric, glass, spikes, jute, copper and a million other things, the brand creates dreamscapes that take you on journeys across lost kingdoms, forbidden valleys and virgin lagoons. Each single-edition neckpiece has a Bohemian spirit that is inimitable and priceless. Each piece is soft, sensual yet bold glittering in its very own uniqueness.

She has showcased her collection at prestigious platforms like Lakme Fashion Week and many other exhibitions in India.  Her designs have been graced by many celebrities including Tisca Chopra, Priyanka Bose and Mahnaz Damania to name a few.

1Pallavi Dhyani is a fashion graduate from Pearl Academy of Fashion, Jaipur. She grew up essentially as an introvert kid who found solace in the realm of design; crafting together clothes that helped express her inner state of mind. At college, she received the award for Best Practical Collection. She has also worked with Aneeth Arora for her label, Pero as an assistant for two years. She also won Grazia Young Fashion Award 2015.

In 2014, Pallavi went on to launch her own label ‘Three’. The label is a modern mix of conceptual and wearable clothing which defies age bar as the collection features comfortable and anti-fit silhouettes. Clever cuts, interesting silhouettes, asymmetric patterns and simplicity of geometric details defines the basis of the brand.

She has showcased her first collection at Lakme fashion Week 2015 winter festive. Her designs have been adorned by celebrities like Anushka Manchanda and former Miss India Hasleen kaur to name a few.

1Goa based designer Stephany Dsousa is known for easy and quirky designs. She has a diploma in fashion designing. She has also worked with renowned designer Saviojon and has also assisted many designers at India Fashion Week.

She started her label Stephany in 2011. The label is for the people who are not afraid to try a little creativity in their wardrobe. The designs from the label are a melange of vibrant summer shades, flowy deconstructed garments.

Stephany has been showcasing her collection at Lakme Fashion Week, Mercedes Benz Asia Fashion week and many other platforms. Her designs had been adorned by celebrities like Shradha Das, Shweta Salve and Kagna Ranaut to name a few.

1Designer Baani Sachdev and Nikita Jain have enormous love for minimalism and fluidity in design. They both met and became friends during their training at London College of Fashion.  The designers believe that less is more, and simplicity is the key to the greatest sense of dressing.

Fin 2011, the duo went on to launch their own label Endless Zest to Rise Above was born – E.Z.R.A. It is a chic, easy resort wear brand, with hints of a bohemian influence, which believes in comfort in style. 1Hyderabad-based designer Jayanti Reddy is passionate about working with natural fabrics, such as weaves and ikats. The designer holds a business degree but her love for fashion landed her into the world of fashion designing.

She launched her eponymous label ‘Jayanti Reddy’ in 2011. The label infuses traditional clothing with a unique style and understated elegance. The result is a classical and intensely personal fashion statement. Naturally dyed and hand woven textiles are finely embellished with intricate hand embroidery in designs of timeless beauty. The brand’s casual wear, in sleek signature style, and opulent formal/festive collections are both characterized by the sense of craftsmanship, style and creativity that is quintessentially Jayanti Reddy.

1The 36-year-old Bengaluru-based designer, Ajay Kumar was born in a middle class family of Ballia, Uttar Pradesh. He grew up in Bokaro Steel City, Jharkhand, where his father was Deputy Post Master. He graduated from NIFT, Delhi and has worked with Blackberry’s, Indigo Nation, Reid & Taylor, and Peter England. He now lives in Bengaluru with wife Lavanya Venkatraman, co-founder at a fashion startup, and son Siddhanth.  He even bagged the Most Practical Collection Award at the final Design Collection in the early 2000s.

His eponymous label “Mr. Ajay Kumar” is an extension of his personal style statement that amalgamates classic menswear tailoring with modern cuts, traditional motifs with modern print patterns giving it a futuristic outlook. The line is effortlessly stylish and red carpet worthy. The label has been designed for the genre of social celebrities, shining personalities and achievers. The designer also owns his own design studio in Bengaluru.

He will be launching his label at the Gen Next designer platform of Lakmé Fashion Week in its Winter/Festive 2015. The collection he’s taking to LFW has lots of layering of patterns, colors. The silhouettes are structured yet flowy, Indian yet contemporary.

doodlageIf you leave 27 year old, Delhi based designer Kriti Tula in a warehouse full of waste fabric, she is likely to emerge with an entire collection a few hours later. Swatches of fabric, an old pair of denims, tested pieces and even vintage garments – Tula salvages all by creating new garments out of them.

In 2012, she co-founded her label Doodlage with Rachna Jhunjhunwala, Paras Arora and Vaibhav Kapoor. The label is a blend of sustainable and exclusive high street fashion. The brand aims to merge innovative pattern making with intensive surface techniques to make fashion not just chic, also eco-friendly. The designer is set to open the brand’s first flagship store in 2016, with collections for men and children as well as home linens.

Kriti Tula will present her eco-friendly designs to vast audience with this year’s Lakme Fashion Week winter festive.  The designer’s next move is to work on a collaborated collection for Fabindia out of its post-production waste.

siddharthabansalNew Delhi based designer Siddhartha Bansal’s vision is to give customers an experience of a lifetime through his clothes which have feminine cuts fused with fresh color combinations and intricate detailed motifs. Siddhartha pursued textile designing from Northern India Institute of fashion technology. He did internship at Stubio B and Satya Paul. Later he worked with designerNida Mahmood and Manish Arora.

His label Siddhartha Bansal epitomizes its design philosophy touring around ‘Golden bird’ nation to present day India, in the wanderlust for rich craft and culture. Crafted prints and embroideries is the brand’s USP. The label’s designs exhibit a kaleidoscopic and intricate vision.

He is going to present his autumn/’winter collection Storyteller at GenNext platform of Lakme Fashion Week winter festive 2015. The collection will showcase rich cultural diversity of India through a burst of color in complicated and fine geometric patterns.
