Khushi Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation that provides education, supplemental food and medical assistance to the disadvantaged sections of the society. With a purpose-driven approach, Crocs has collaborated with these two organisations to spread good cheer in the society.

With mutual areas of interest, the socially conscious brand will be gifting 100 odd pairs of new fun and colorful shoes, to the homeless clusters around the Old Delhi area.

Louis Vuitton joins UNICEF for support to children affected by the Syrian crisis. Jessica Kahawaty, Lebanese-Australian international model and presenter with a background in human rights law, visited the Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan, as part of Louis Vuitton’s efforts to raise awareness and funds for Syrian children facing the world’s most challenging humanitarian crisis.

01

The Za’atari refugee camp in Jordan, one of the largest in the world with a population of 79,000 Syrian refugees, is situated in Jordan about 12 km from the Syrian border. UNICEF has been on the ground since the camp opened in July 2012, providing urgent humanitarian aid, including life-saving vaccines, clean water, psychosocial support and protection from violence to children and families affected by the crisis. UNICEF works closely with education authorities to make sure that children can go to school.

“These children have taught me so much – to continue smiling in the face of adversity, generosity in the sweet hand-made gifts they gave me, hard work and always dreaming for a better future. The global community must continue investing in their education and wellbeing, for them to rebuild Syria when peace returns one day,” said Jessica.

Manish Malhotra looked effortlessly suave as he walked the red carpet for IIFA AWARDS 2017. He wore a signature look from the menswear line of his eponymous label, including a stole crafted in Kashmiri embroidery.

IIFA 2017 Awards marked a significant milestone for Manish, as he won his 50th Award – having been recognised as Best Costume Designer for Ae Dil Hein Mushkil, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma & Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.

From putting together trend-setting looks for stars of Hindi cinema to proudly presenting Indian silhouettes and crafts on the red carpet, the award is indeed a celebration of the designer’s two big passions – film and fashion.

Gucci is pleased to announce the launch of Gucci Décor, an eclectic collection of items with which customers can dress their own spaces. The idea is not to prescribe a decorative look, but to provide elements that allow for living spaces to be customised, based Gucci Creative Director Alessandro Michele’s philosophy for personalising the home, bringing an accent of Gucci’s contemporary romanticism into the home.

01

As with his magpie attitude to fashion design, the pieces in the new Gucci Décor collection display a multitude of design motifs now familiar from Michele’s catwalk. All the patterns, colours, designs and decorative tropes have been inspired by his fashion collections and are here reimagined for furniture, furnishings and crockery. The overall effect is one of a surprising, joyous combination of hue, pattern and design, where there are no rules. Pieces of text make occasional appearances and the influence of the Gucci Garden lexicon is ubiquitous, with flora blooming abundantly and creatures appearing everywhere, whether on screens, cushions or teapots.

01

The smaller pieces of the collection are of porcelain and are produced by Richard Ginori, the renowned Florentine company founded in 1735. With access to the skills of this historic porcelain factory, Michele has designed a range of distinctive, patterned crockery featuring a green and white Herbarium decoration. There are also idiosyncratic Richard Ginori-made porcelain scented-candle holders, which display House patterns. The Herbarium floral print is in evidence here, as are geometric chevrons, a striking, solid pink colour and the ‘eye’ design. Animals from the Gucci Garden – bees, butterflies and cockerel heads – are rendered in porcelain in 3D and are attached to the pots and their lids. There are also small incense holders where 3D stag beetles and bees support incense sticks.
