Founded by Ben Cottrell and Matthew Dainty, Cottweiler is known for blurring the lines between high fashion and sportswear, receiving critical acclaim in the process. For FW17, the collection, COTTWEILER for REEBOK, combines highly technical fabrics to create timeless yet progressive pieces that signify a move into the next era of sportswear, in which design and function are both given equal importance.

Inspired by holistic approaches to sport aftercare, garments have utilized manufacturing techniques and fabrics that have a therapeutic effect on the body.

Etihad Airways, hosted master couturier Manish Malhotra in Abu Dhabi as part of the airline’s latest initiative as the preferred carrier of the global fashion industry.

Renowned for modernising costumes in Bollywood, he visited the airline’s state-of-the-art Innovation Centre and Training Academy and officially launched his Etihad Airways-sponsored virtual reality fashion show, which was filmed using the pioneering technology at Lakmé Fashion Week in Mumbai last August.

With over 75 models on the catwalk, viewers are able to immerse themselves in the show and feel part of the extravagant event, with Manish Malhotra becoming the first Indian fashion designer to present a virtual reality experience. Etihad Airways used the same VR technology to give viewers unprecedented access to the airline’s award-winning Airbus A380 by immersing them in the aircraft cabins in a virtual reality film ‘Reimagine’ featuring Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman.

During his visit, the acclaimed designer was given a tour of the Innovation Centre that houses mock-ups of Etihad Airways’ A380 and Boeing 787 premium cabins, including its award-winning three-room suite – The Residence.

Recycle is a menswear project featuring transformation and adaptation along with recycling and technology, crucial elements of life that become fundamental even at an ‘urban’ level. A vision, according to Raeburn and Save the Duck, for sustainability and respect for natural cycles.

Raeburn’s typical military recycling becomes about camouflaging and travel: patchwork, in all the various types of camouflage, creates a down jacket without the down, a garment that has never used animal-based fibres in line with the ‘animal friendly’ ethic central to Save the Duck.

Starting from this edition, Pitti Immagine signs a special collaboration agreement with the Japan Fashion Week Organization. A two-year partnership, which is aimed at offering visibility to some of the most promising talents on the JAPANESE fashion panorama, through the unique stage and setting of Pitti Uomo. For the summer 2017 season, Kris Van Assche has appointed a new generation of inspired characters to channel the dynamic energy of his Dior homme vision. Disrupting the bold elegance of his previous campaign appearance, Rocky takes to the streets of Paris wearing the season’s dark floral patchwork by Japanese artist Toru Kamei.
