1Karla Spetic collection was predominantly white and purple, dotted with pieces in a lavender print, Navy and sheer fabrics with flat Footwear. Johnny Schembri showcase at blacksmiths workshop was predominately black and white in a cowhide, floral and mixed prints and geometric checks.

2Macgraw, receiver of Tiffany & Co. national designer award had Dove blue, Florals, Beetle print, Baby pink and green velvet collection which was very feminine and retro. Becky Cooper and Bridget Yorston of bec and bridge label took cue from Indian summers featuring white, mustard yellow, cream, bronze and rust shades as well as paisley print and off the shoulder cuts.

Christopher Esber’s collection unusually held in a yoga studio, models wore relaxed silhouettes and bare feet strapped with white tape. Garments featured knots, baggy pants and three quarter apron-like skirts. Apparently there was lot of drama too as the fashionistas jammed in to the lift at hot Yoga studio after seeing his fashion installation .

Ms.Eva Maria Pacheco a female Spanish artist who is a PhD in Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona will be showcasing her fine art paintings at her solo show BEING LIGHT in New Delhi.

Five months after closing his eponymous label, the Scottish designer Jonathan Saunders has joined Diane Von Furstenberg as chief creative officer, effective immediately.

Offered for the first time at auction, a very rare stainless steel Patek Philippe wristwatch with black dial and Breguet numerals, reference 1504, soared to more than ten times its pre-sale estimate, reaching CHF 328,000 / $330,424 (est. CHF 20,000 – 40,000). This is the only known example of this reference which combines a stainless steel case, black dial and pink gold Breguet numerals.

A stunning example of Swiss Art Deco design, a superb desk timepiece made by Vacheron Constantin, in collaboration with Verger Frères, sold for CHF 430,000 / $433,178 (est. CHF 80,000 – 120,000). Eight avid collectors vied for this exquisite piece, created in 1926, which features a mother-of-pearl dial by Vladimir Makovsky.

A world auction record for a Heuer watch was set today when Formula One driver Ronnie Peterson’s Heuer Carerra watch sold in the room for CHF 225,000 / $226,663,over 20 times the pre-sale estimate of CHF 10,000 – 20,000. No fewer than six passionate collectors vied for the watch during a ten-minute bidding battle. This reference 1158 was presented to Ronnie Peterson by Jack W. Heuer in 1972 on the occasion of the signing of a sponsorship deal.

Australian Fashion Week opened yesterday with fifty shades of Toni Maticevski sending his collection down the runway. While Australian Fashion Week founder Simon Lock explained how the attendance of buyers has dropped from around 240 at the height of the event to just 24 this year.

Coming back to Maticevski, the Melbourne-born designer new-look resort wear had billowing dresses in shades of cream, onyx and the blue. The looks were more restrained with models in sky-high, pencil-thin heels teetering on a polished marble runway with their hands shackled behind their back by crystal Ryan Storer handcuffs His trademark full skirted silhouette was in full flight of fancy, this time with additional extras including baroque brocade tails, leather and zips.
