Luxury brand Piaget reveals its first complication watch titled ‘Limelight Stella’ that is entirely dedicated to women.

The Limelight Stella not only tells time but also indicates the various phases of the moon. The watch only requires a manual adjustment in the moon phase function only once every 122 years. Driven by a 135-toothed wheel, the moon is seen at 12 o’clock with its fan-shaped window supported by 14 brilliant-cut diamonds.

The stunning timepiece has a 36mm, 18ct pink gold case set with 126 diamonds and has a white dial while the white gold version comes with or without diamonds. The strap comes in color palette of pink, fuchsia, red, grey, white, taupe, black, blue and brun. The Manufacture Piaget 584P self-winding mechanical movement, which has a 42-hour power reserve, can be seen through the sapphire caseback.

1Renowned fashion brand, Valentino has unveiled its new ad campaign for its latest women’s scent ‘Valentino Donna’.

Shot in Rome by Louis Garrel, the black and white images features actress Àstrid Bergès-Frisbey. Valentino Donna is a floral perfume created by Givaudan perfumers Sonia Constant and Antoine Maisondieu.

Inspired by films like ‘Roma’ and ‘La Notte’, Louis Garrel has also directed a short film of 1 minute and 48 featuring the actress. The video will come out on 8 October at parfums.valentino.com and on the other social accounts of the brand.

Day 7 of Paris Fashion Week Spring 2016 had some major highlights like Stella McCartney, Giambattista Valli, Hermes and Saint Laurent.

Stella McCartney’s spring collection was a beautiful amalgamation of daring graphics, audacious color and sports references. She showed polo shirt with plaids, lively knits crisscrossed with layers of sheer, crisp, dark denim, pastel, vibrant embroidered mesh evening dresses. Chitose Abe spring lineup for Sacaiwas reinvention of the basics.  The range included loose silhouettes, deconstructed separates in bold patterns, the bandana’s signature paisley print, cut-up tees, loose frocks, lean maxiskirts with double slits and trapeze tops.

Leonard Paris’ summer 2016 was an explosion of colors and prints. Coloring crayon, tags, flowers, text extracts, and paint strokes scribbles were seen on suit trousers and other outfits. There were short tops, loose trousers, fluid dresses and transparent long skirts. Freshness, spontaneity and romance dominated Giambattista Valli’s spring collection. Models walked in frisky A-line minidresses, filmy chiffon gowns decorated with 3-D floral embroideries and crystals. Snug cardigan jackets in sparkly silver tweeds matched with A-line miniskirts and elongated tunics with flared pants were edgy looks.

Véronique Branquinho showcased a dark, moody and romantic spring line. There were pleated dresses with Victorian ruffles and tailored ensembles with delicate macramé work and long, luscious fringes.  Martin Grantpresented a monochromatic collection featuring navy sleeveless summer dress with a cape back, navy smock shirt, cigarette pants and navy one-shouldered evening gown. He also showed stylish and bold trenchcoat, peacoat, bustier top and flares.

Nadège Vanhee-Cybulski came up with an edgy spring collection for Hermes. She opted for sharp, spare silhouettes and fabrics like double-faced cashmere, cotton and silk blend. Gracing the ramp were long waistcoat paired with matching pants navy, racer-back tank dress, plaid skirt with zipper detail, square top and straight skirt. Sonia Rykiel’s spring offering by Julie de Libran hadbaseball-style tee, slinky plissé knit dresses, poplin camp shirt and silk pajama with bird’s motifs on them. The range also included cotton dresses in a swallow print, holographic sequin dresses that were knitted and fine-gauge sweaters.

Designer Esteban Cortazar brought a brave and bold spring lineup on the runway. The collection featured Mao-collared python jacket, slouchy pants, sliced bodycon knit dresses, voluptuous sweater, skirts and leggings. Hedi Slimane for Saint Laurentshowcased a beautiful and glittering collection. Models walked the ramp wearing lowbrow tiaras, sparkly see-through mini-mesh dresses, rock-chick leather jackets, beige trenchcoat, sand-color camisole, faded army-surplus shirt, patchworked denim capes, and leather bomber jackets. Drapey bias gowns and bias-cut slip dress in metallic sequins were stunning.

1FDCI today announced an installation of Rahul Mishra’s Paris Fashion Week SS’16 ensembles at the French Embassy on October 11, to get up close and personal with Rahul’s unique ideology.

In a palette of cream and blue, designers Made in India collection with contemporary twist displayed his mastery over cut and texture with heady geometric motifs, sassy pleats, nifty pockets and wowed the fashion capital of the world.

“Rahul is a maverick, he has succeeded in showing the strength of Indian craftsmanship, through the play of leaves used ingeniously as a recurring emblem. His scallops exuded sheer class and the mix of fabrics from satin, organza, leather-ite, denim to knits, made acclaimed critic Suzy Menkes term it ‘magical’, said Mr. Sunil Sethi, FDCI President.

Day 6 of Paris Fashion Week 2016 saw enthralling spring collections by luxury fashion brands like John Galliano, Céline and Alexander Mcqueen.

Humberto Leon and Carol Lim’s spring collection for Kenzo had happy, summer clothes that came in sporty shapes, bright colors and varied patterns. Models wore cropped tanks with an angled hem, skinny T-shaped strap, lean, low-rider skirts in chevron-printed patchworks and sexy cutout mesh bodysuits. Emanuel Ungaro spring lineup showed stunning lattice-patterned blouse, pert capes, long dresses and pleated skirts. There were also leather short trapeze coats, bra tops and cocktail dresses.

Céline’s spring lineup by Phoebe Philo was chic and captivating. She came up with various designs like wide trousers, lean, lace-trimmed slips and camisole, coats with ribbed corset like insets, long knit dresses tied in back, full-cut buffalo-plaid trousers and romantic chopped-off Juliet dresses. Masha Ma came up with a dark and dramatic collection. She opted for sculptural silhouettes and synthetic fabrics to create youthful and rebellious outfits.

Rabih Kayrouz created a comfortable and beautiful collection for spring 2016. The collection featured pure and crisp white caftan dress, fluid white tunic with black piping, full skirts done with gentle folds and spare white sleeveless jumpsuit with a high neckline. Roalnd Mouret displayed a limited-edition capsule collection. There range included black raw-edged halter top, jacket, jumpsuit and Galaxy dresses in navy, mustard, coral pink and mint green which were further adorned with seventies-tinged floral or leaf motifs.

John Galliano’s spring collection by Bill Gaytten showcased stunning and glamorous rave-era anoraks, frock-coats, bubbly dresses some bedecked with sequins or lace and ruffles. The range also boasted khaki mesh parkas, ruffled skirts, skinny lace dresses and polka-dot pantyhose.  Albert Kriemler for Akrisdeveloped an easy and breezy collection. He presented transparent sleek fit-and-flare dresses, white cotton shirts, Bermuda shorts, sleek jersey dresses, A-line mesh skirts, relaxed silk crepe pantsuits, vests and mesh tops.

4Alexander Mcqueen’s spring 2016 collection by Sarah Burton was a very feminine and beautiful. Weaving and floral designs were inspired by the people of London’s Spitalfields from the late 17th Century and the Huguenot migrants who arrived as religious refugees of heirloom. She showed long, lean dresses, some with deep necklines and sliver-sized cutouts under the hip and others with high collars and long sleeves. There were also thin leather dresses decorated with Spitalfields-inspired flowers and sculpted ruffled necklines, and French lace gowns embroidered with contrasting, large-scale lace doves.
