With all retail brands going on sale and the surge online companies in India and around the globe, we zeroed down the shoppers psyche and needs. We love to shop anywhere, any time, any place — but sometimes, we get so consumed with purchasing things online, we forget how great it can be to physically go into a store.

But sometimes it’s better to get out into the world and see things in real life — not to mention a few other key takeaways. We bring you key differentiators’ in-physical shopping vis-a-vis the online experience:

1.  You know sooner rather than later if the dress you’re eyeing is totally sheer.

2.  Shopping in-store can be a fun social event that can bring people closer together.

3. You can take advantage of in-store-only discounts (many student discounts are only available in-store).

4. You can immediately discern the quality of an item.

5. You don’t have crazy high credit card bills from ordering 10 leather jackets with the intention of only keeping one.

6.  You can avoid those pesky shipping fees. Many retailers do offer free shipping, but not necessarily free return shipping (for those nine other leather jackets).

7. You can always ask for someone else’s opinion on how you look in something.

8. You can try on multiple sizes, so you’ll actually go home knowing you found the size that looks the best on you.

9. Many sales associates work for commission, so by physically going to a store, you’re helping someone else make a little more cash.

10. You can get your item immediately … no waiting required.

1Lately, H&M announced that international pop icon Katy Perry will star in its Holiday 2015 Campaign, celebrating the season in true H&M style, full of joy and togetherness for the holidays.

“H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style. I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years. One of the reasons I love the holidays is being able to dress cozy and cute, which H&M executes so well for every budget. I can’t wait for you to see the world we created with Jonas Åkerlund and Dan Jackson,” says Katy Perry.

“We are so thrilled that Katy Perry will star in our campaign this holiday season. We love everything about Katy, from her incredible talent and energy to her playful sense of personal style,” says Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Head of Design.

After IMG announced in May that it would be pulling out of Miami Swim week, with no title sponsor or organizer to the event, many thought that the event will not continue. No matter what the show did go on after lot of jostle though without a strong team.

Kicking off on July 15,it had different production houses running the shows with fragmented venues causing nuisance throughout week. We had veterans like Mara Hoffman and Mikoh showcasing an attractive swimwear for spring 2016, along with few less established names. Maxim magazine, showed it’s first-ever swimwear collection, inspired by Brigitte Bardot and chock-full of high-waisted bottoms and floaty coverups. Other shows like Maaji Swimwear, Clover Canyon, 6 Shore Road by Pooja runway, Mia Marcelle went beyond schedule and reported lack of attendees. Most of the designers weren’t sure and decided in a jiffy.

With the news that IMG might come back next year, it’s a relief for designers as they can rest easy and plan for next year.
