Cartier Queen's Cup 2015The Cartier Queen’s Cup Final marked  Cartier’s 31st year of polo sponsorship. As the longest standing polo sponsor in history, “The King of Jewellers”, became the largest and most prestigious polo spectator event in the world, attracting over 25,000 people in Windsor Great Park at Guards Polo Club.

With the best polo players in the world participating, it is a highlight for the sport’s elite and spectators alike. Past players have included HRH Prince Philip, who played in the final and HRH Prince Charles who won the trophy. HM The Queen first presented her cup to Guards Polo Club in 1960 and historically attends Finals Day.

The event have seen some of the world’s most famous faces such as the Royal Family, Angelina Jolie, Colin Firth, Keira Knightley, Sharon Stone and Emma Watson to name a few.

Last day of London collection Men’s had Christopher Bailey showcasing his spring summer 2016 collection at Kensington Garden London. The catwalk had seventies vibe in darker tones of blues, greens, greys and beiges instead of usual bright colours.

Silhouettes were loose than slim, in lighter fabric of wool, silk and cotton. There were suits, jackets, trousers and short sleeved boxy shirts.  Nonetheless the show was governed by lace in season’s trench coats, evening shirts and dresses with frill details.

Calvin Klein Jeans event Hong Kong 2015 - Justin BieberCalvin Klein Jeans hosted a dynamic music event in Hong Kong with a surprise performance by global superstar Justin Bieber – who played a selection of his hit songs including “Baby,” “Boyfriend,” “Beauty and The Beat,” “As Long As You Love Me,” “One Time,” and his latest song, “Where Are Ü Now.”

In addition to his unannounced performance, the event featured a special appearance by American model and social media star Kendall Jenner, as well as a performance by Korean-American musician Jay Park, and DJ sets by creative influencers Verbal and Yoon from Japan, and Hong Kong’s Kevin Poon.

The invitation-only event to celebrate the Calvin Klein Jeans brand was held at the massive Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, and was attended by an eclectic audience of fashion, music, and entertainment influencers and media from over 16 countries across Asia, Europe, South America and the U.S.For the evening, those guests wardrobed in Calvin Klein Jeans included Mr. Bieber, Ms. Jenner, Mr. Park, Mr. Poon, Verbal and Yoon, Pakho Chau, Shiga Lin, Dear Jane, Shine, Bryanboy, Irene Kim, Tina Leung, Megbaby, Jordan and Zac Stenmark, Ji Liang, Helena Bordon, Nina Nesbitt, Andre Hamann, Marco Cappai, Qi Bao, Li Hui, Bo Gao, Malini Agarwal, Ingrid Chua-go, David Guison, Yoyo Cao, Ploy Chavaporn, Ray Ray Chao, Ha Anhn Vu Nguyen, Zelia Zhong, Jeremy Wong, Cindy Ko, Faye Tsui, Veronica Li, Lindsay Jang, Lauren Rhoden, and Rene Chu, as well as Kevin Carrigan, the Global Creative Director of Calvin Klein Jeans.

DAY 2:

The second day of London Collections: Men saw creative and fashionable designs by some well- known designers and upcoming talented designers.

Lou Dalton’s collection had open shirts in jazzed-up madras, bottoms with pocket details and layered yet loose jackets. Several showed outfits inspired by the 60’s era’s drivers, spectators.  Designer Astrid Andersen brought sporty, masculine looks that were paired with shimmering material covered with traditional Chinese flower detailing.

Nigel Cabourn showed peacoats, wide-leg cropped pants and overalls in blue, ecru and white. On the other hand, Hardy Amies presented double-breasted jackets with checks and a series of backpacks and totes. Berthold showed beautifully restrained and softly structured jackets, some inspired by hospital gowns.

YMC new range had sneck-tied scarves, swim caps which hung loose at the chin, bowling shirts, western jackets and straight cut shorts. Mr Hare by Marc Hare’s looks included zip-up blousons, oversized nylon coats, roomy but cropped trousers teamed with loafers, buckle boots, lightweight sneakers. Inspired by early seventies,Coach by Stuart Vevers’ collection had animal prints and lava lamp bubbles in lucid palette of purples, ochres and the occasional lime green.

Agi & Sam’s offering had loose silhouettes from Japanese workwear and open shirts that were distorted by opposing stripe detailing. Oliver Spencer simple collection included jackets in hand-drawn stripe of blues and greys. There were also greengrocer coats and sweatshirts with thin stripes. Matthew Miller’s collection brought stunning leather jackets and tailored suits worn with a white shirt and dusty pink tie.

Casely Hayford’s summer offering had long biker jackets, patterned sweaters and Mod silhouettes in palette of deep reds, blues, and green. Sibling’s presented
two straight-laced tailored suits, cross-lacing details and the multiple motif of toreador/quarterback.

DAY 3:

Day three of London Collections: Men started with Sebastiaan Peiter SS’16 line that included tailored jackets, asymmetric split-back shirt and pants, joggers and romper suits with zip detailing. J.W. Anderson collection featured lean sweaters, boxy sweatshirts, Skywalker jackets and chic denim Jedi tops. Tommy Hilfiger’s collection showed double-breasted suits in cotton piqué, cropped trousers, motorcycle jackets and sporty separates.

Margaret Howell’s presented looks like high-waist pants worn with tucked-in Aran sweaters and roomy anoraks worn over suits with knee-length shorts. Joseph showcased anorak in double-faced cashmere in shades of gray or camel, sleek track pants done in beet-colored leather.James long collection brought distressed denim jeans and jackets splashed with paint, tie-dyed or dusted with chalk pastel.

Richard James showcased linen jackets, chartreuse Bermuda shorts and belted teal suede coats.Christopher Raeburn line included cool blazers, trekking shorts, roomy trousers, black nylon blousons and camouflage safari jackets.Chester Barrie presented suits made with light fabrics and soft structure that made them wearable and comfortable.

Alexander McQueen collection brought 70’s glamour with duster coats, trenches, classic peacoat, long coats and cropped pants. Belstaff’s ss’16 range featured leather vests, capes,field jackets, sand-colored trousers and army green Bermuda shorts.  Inspired by religious devotees, Maharishi presented Buddhist monks’ robes, field jackets and sweatshirts.

For his ss’16 collection, Dunhill included morning suits and top hats, jaunty V-neck sweaters layered under plaid jackets, pinstripe suits and baggy cotton trousers. Gieves & Hawkes collection displayed line-gauge T-shirts, silky shirts in chevron prints and suit jackets with soft shoulders, relaxed fits and patch pockets. KTZ by Marjan Pejoski’s looks consisted of trenchcoat made of panels of translucent white plastic and shiny black PVC and oversize bomber done in silver foil with net patches.

Day 1:

The first day of London Collections Men SS’2016 was dominated by Topman and Craig Green shows. Green, a LVMH prize finalist and whose art is currently being showcased at China through Looking Glass exhibiton, has achieved widespread critical acclaim for his designs, and is fashion’s most watched for.

Even though Craig intended to wrap the body in fabric, this time,  he had white, black, indigo and ceremonial red were joined by electric bursts of orange, golden yellow, powder blue and emerald were layered and woven through each other to highlight the beauty of garments. Which had loose, trailing shirts and knotted jackets, frayed patchwork knots and dragging, bloated trousers..

While the opening day showcased some androgynous styles, with Topman show perched on Northern Soul as an inspiration, was quiet an interesting watch which had ports and suits – usually, pac-a-macs contrasting with two-pieces in slightly dodgy washed silk.

The day also had Nasir Mazhar presenting a complete wardrobe for his men, Christopher Shannon’s show highlights were running shorts and oversized pants, kit Neale, Alex Mullins and Tod Lynn shows can be summarized as luxury wears.

1Varun Bahl created an exclusive collection using the Raymond jacketing fabrics, with an extensive detailing on exotic fabrics such as tweed, and pure cashmere. The entire collection featured about thirty looks for menswear and around four couture pieces for womenswear.

The collection I have designed for Raymond’s show is for fashionable and contemporary man, it has extensive intricacies. I have incorporated various textures, bold checks and colors on exotic fabrics, lending the look a very vintage yet contemporary feel. The Jacketing fabricsare diverse in selection as well as trendy and versatile, making them an absolute delight to work with, said the designer.

Renowned for its high jewelry collections, Swiss watchmaker and jeweler Piaget is celebrating the 25th anniversary of their Possession collection.

To mark the occasion, the brand is expanding its classic line with a series of bracelets and necklaces, along with a collection of seven new Possession rings. The brand’s signature piece, the Possession ring is at the heart of the new line. Each one is characterized by a rotating band adorned with brilliant-cut diamonds, creating both a playful and powerful aesthetic.
