THE annual CFDA Awards is always one of the biggest nights hosted by Bravo’s Andy Cohen at Lincoln Center, honoring the most talented fashion designers of the year.

Having been likened as the fashion industry Oscars, biggest moment of the night came from  Ralph Lauren awarding Vera Wang the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement to Oscar de la Renta receiving the Founders Award from none other than Hillary Clinton.

Designers Proenza Schouler, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez were the night’s big winners, picking up the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year. Sponsors of the event Swarovski presented their own prize to Max Osterweis and Erin Beatty for womenswear, and to Dao-Yi Chow and Maxwell Osbourne for their menswear designs. Riccardo Tisci conceded his reigning title as best International Designer to Rei Kawakubo.

Montblanc for the first time ever hosted a concert to benefit his eponymous charitable foundation, The Lang Lang International Music Foundation, at Carnegie Hall. Alec Baldwin hosted the inaugural gala for music enthusiasts, artists, including Grammy Award winner John Legend, and, special performances by jazz artist, Dee Dee Bridgewater, violinist, Joshua Bell, American Soprano Renee Fleming, and Danish pop diva, Oh Land.

The Lang Lang International Music Foundation develops sustainable, impactful and unique charitable activities for children to inspire them to cultivate their passion for music, which is a universal language that bridges cultural gaps to unite local and global communities. Cultural enrichment is an inherent part of Montblanc’s DNA and their commitment to it spans fine arts, theatre and classical music.

“Montblanc is proud to support our friend Lang Lang as he shares his foundation and its message with the world. His contributions to not only classical music, but global culture as a whole, are invaluable. We anticipate many future successes and resounding impact this charity will have,“ said Jan Patrick Schmitz, President and CEO of Montblanc North America.

In its eighth year of partnership with UNICEF, Gucci introduces “Gucci for UNICEF” shopper bag, out of which 25 percent of the retail price of each bag will support UNICEF education programs. The House’s donations from sales of the Gucci Nice shopper bag will benefit UNICEF’s “Schools for Africa” and “Schools for Asia” initiatives, which aim to provide access to quality education for millions of the most vulnerable children.

As part of her on-going commitment to the partnership, Creative Director Frida Giannini designed this exclusive version of the House’s signature Gucci Nice shopper in antique rose micro Guccissima leather. Inspired by the relaxed attitude of France’s southern coast, the Gucci Nice design features the spur detail – a timeless symbol from the House’s riding heritage. In metal with a light-gold finish, the spur hardware joins handles that recall equestrian equipment. This functional accessory is the perfect understated, on-the-go style to carry all day long.

Legend says that if visitors to the Fontana di Trevi in Rome threw a coin over a shoulder into the fountain, then they are ensured a return to Eternal City. As a part of Fendi for Fountain project, the Italian fashion house and Karl Lagerfeld, have pledged 2.2 million euros for the Trevi Fountain and other sites in the Eternal City of Rome.

The result of this focus on the Roman fountains has also inspired Mr. Lagerfeld, who has been the designer at Fendi for nearly half a century, to photograph fountains in a city that he says he has visited more than 750 times since his first Fendi designs in 1965. “I love water — I think it is the most important and basic element of life — and for me the fountains are a symbol of Rome,” said Mr. Lagerfeld, who has used his photographic skills to bring the project to life. “In no other city is water that visible.”

His black and white images, made with the 19th-century daguerreotype photographic technique, will be shown in a free exhibition in Paris along the Seine called “The Glory of Water,” during the July haute couture season. The exhibition will then travel to New York and China.
