Dolce & Gabbana AW12 CampaignThe merriment is in full swing in Dolce & Gabbana’s latest Autumn Winter 2012 women ad campaign.

The campaign featuring the all Italian cast of Monica Belluci, Bianca Balti and Bianca Brandolini has been shot by photographer Giampaolo Sgura on the streets of Italy. The colors and festivity of Italy is well reflected in this campaign showing the printed pieces from Dolce & Gabbana’s latest collection.

The international clothing brand, Superdry lately partnered with Reliance Brands Limited to enter India under an exclusive long-term franchisee agreement.

The brand which is known internationally and worn by the likes of David Beckham, Ben Stiller, Mariah Carey and Shakira will offer T-shirts, jeans, sweaters, joggers, bags and accessories in India fusing design influences from Japanese graphics and vintage Americana, with the values of British tailoring.

JD Annual AwardsJD Institute of Fashion Technology, a Fashion and Design Institute organized ‘Inside’, the 22ndAnnual Design Awards at Siri Fort Auditorium, New Delhi, of late.

The event showcasing the designs of the students of the institute ran for two days. On the first day of the event, the students uncovered various themes and a diverse collection of designs in men’s wear namely- Azad Parinde , Rebel yell, Reckon, Way of life ethos, Zero degree, Inside out, Brainiac, Dil to bachchahaiji, Homosexuality etc. The second day constitutes magnificent collections of innovative themes like Shunaya Era, Angels and Demons, Spirituality, Modern Vintage, Life inside Life, Faces of Life, etc.

Moreover, the presence of prominent celebrities like Deepika Padukone and renowned fashion designers Rohit Bal and Charu Parashar added on to the and glamour of the event.

Dalal, Executive Director of the institute said “I am extremely happy and delighted to see the excellent effort made by our students who have presented their most creative design collection, which is not only innovative, but also based on improvised themes. Qatar Royal Family ValentinoOne of the world’s most coveted couture label Valentino, known for its chic red gowns is now owned by the royal family of Qatar.

An investment fund, Mayhoola for Investments run by the family has bought the Italian fashion house for an estimated $858 million. Apart from Valentino, the royal family which also owns London’s Harrods Department Store has purchased Missoni from Permira, the London based equity firm.

It’s Sheikh Hamad and his second wife Sheikha Mozah of Qatari Royal family who have shown great interest in luxury market of late, and considered one of the biggest consumers of couture in the world.
