Suneet Varma for DCW
Suneet Varma is showcasing at the forthcoming couture week in Delhi – in fact he has been the only designer to show at all the couture weeks so far.
He has always been inspired by the arts. Be it Taikoskys swan lake, the theatrical plays of Shakespeare – a Mid Summers Night and many more. This time he takes inspiration from one of the greatest fashion illustrators of our time- Antonio Lopez.Antonio, the author of several fashion illustration books illustrated “Sherazade- A tale of a thousand and one nights”.
Sweeping strokes rendered in rich velvets, Byzantine blues and gold’s in layers tulle and the richness of ivory satin drapes. Suneet takes the illustrators fantasy world and gives his own courtesy to couture.
Dramatic in presentation and seductive on the skin, the collection is rich in color and embellishments. The headgear in velvets and leather are all hand crafted at Suneet Varma’s studio.
