It is said that Imitation is the best form of flattery…

Diesel India decided to take that idea and turn it on its head and came to you with THE STUPIDEST idea for a launch party ever!! After all, only Diesel was stupid enough to have a party to celebrate the fact that the largest number of fakes sold in the world are marked with Diesel branding, reason being the MOST WANTED brand in the world whether original or fake is an achievement worth celebrating.

So Diesel welcomed everyone to fake fake land, a land where all your fake dreams came true. Everything about this marvellous land was fake starting from the invite (fake tears of joy, bollywood style) to the fashion show (with fake IPL cricketers, fake Celebrities and a fake Renzo (IMAGINE THAT)!

That is not to say that all the guests at the Diesel Launch party were fake … the party has become the talk of town with Mumbai abuzz with tweets about the party flooding the internet. the party which saw a host of Indian celebrities from all walks of life was hosted by Anusha Dandekar, the ball got rolling with diesel afficianados like Aftab Shivdasani, Mahima Choudry, Nauheed Cyrusi, Manidira Bedi, Ameesha Patel, Mansi Scott, Monikangana Dutta, Netra Raghuraman Rocky S, Ashmit Patel,  Anita Hassanandani, Shraddha Kapoor and Megha Kawale and the next gen of bollywood Luv Sinha, Shraddha Kapoor, Ruslaan Mumtaz strutting down the “black carpet.” Walking in together, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik made their presence felt at the party with their first appearance post nikah. Looking fashionable as always Renzo Rosso, President and Founder of Diesel arrived at the party along with Darshan Mehta, President and CEO, Reliance Brands.

So what did the glitterati do once they got to the wildest party in town? Some indulged in some fake kissing at the kissing booth while others confessed their fake sins at the confession booth while the rest indulged in the best fake art museum and were amazed at the best in fake fashion. The guests let their hair down to the music of DJ Nikhil Chinappa and Pearl as well as Steve Smith of the UK house and electronica band Dirty Vegas. Others decided to shop at the stupidest store in the world with the stupidest fashions in the world.
And to ensure that the memory of this feral party stayed fresh with time Diesel had the most unique, inventive and original party favour for the attendees, the Knee J and fake quote book with the fakest of fake quotes of all time!
