Deriving its inspirations from traditional Indian cuts, Neeta Lulla’s A/W 2010 Collection for IPLFW is a set of beautiful wearable ensembles for the woman of substance, the torchbearer in today’s times. The combination of fluid drapes in solid hues with rich embroideries of south Asia’s Dhakai motifs makes it an ornamental, delicate & feminine collection. Very elegant merger of black with vintage bordeaux, azure and olive green with a careful amalgam of textured silk georgettes, jersey’s and crepe assures sensuality & ease.

The collection comprises of draped dresses, tunics & tops paired with dhotis & flared pants, embellished dinner jackets on sensual lace shifts. The masculine powerful shoulders lines are juxtaposed with feminine embellishments and draped cowl sleeves. The alluring dull gold sequins and thread worked details give the collection its finished appeal.

This collection designed to premiere at IPLFW presents classic evening wear tunics, gown, which draw their inspiration from the versatility of pearls.

Puja Rajvanshi has been absolutely mesmerized by the beauty and pristine glory of pearls. She weaves this collection with all the attributes of pearls and has given the ensembles a touch of nature with organic shine. Puja’s creations dictate the romance of fashion in graceful and classy moves. As the pearly white drapes flow in inconstant, and changeable terms of fabric, colour, accessories and designs.

She has used eco friendly fabric Kotadoria and Khadi silk in the shades of pearl and molds them in to various classic silhouettes with embellishment, accessories and styling.

The label “RNA” is exclusive, experimental and quirky, along with expressions of elegance and luxury.

RNA is specially meant for the “neo-girl” who is playful, individualistic and always ready to experiment with her attire, who loves herself the most, who is empowered by her confidence and capability, who dresses for success and style in equal measure, whose fashion reflects her sartorial freedom and who is always ready to break the rules.

The present collection “God made me funky” is an eclectic mix of things that are both modern as well as long forgotten. On one hand it is largely inspired by 70’s Light-Camera-Action era, which brings back to the mind flash back of disco fashion and everything that comes with it, like halter neck, jumpsuits, Minis, maxis, Bell bottom, penny collars with a mix of structured and fluid shapes.

Tired of the same old fine http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/dining/dining/http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/dining/dining options? The same taste being pushed with ten different fancy names? This weekend head straight to a place called Spice Market in Saket. A two floor establishment with well spaced out seating arrangement and a decor which compliments the name it carries, Spice market delivers an excellent blend of North Indian food and a plethora of fine Wines and other liquor to excite your taste buds. The interior has nothing which really stands out and leaves a mark but what really stands out here and will definitely leave a lasting impression on your mind and palate is the outrageously good food that this place serves. No matter what you order, Spice Market’s menu is guaranteed to leave you craving for more of its ‘desi’ food goodness.

You can begin your meal with your choice of kebab, and the choices are quite varied too. Options range from your classic ‘galouti kebab’ to ‘surmai kali maach’ (succulent surmai chunks marinated with coriander, mint and coated with freshly grounded black pepper), drown them with a chilled corona or if you are feeling a little indulgent then ask for the selection of red and white wine to go along with the kebabs. Or get a little adventurous and try out their ‘Patiala’ pegs, 75 ml of pure whiskey fineness. The non-alcoholic types should try something from their muddled or blended section, their various concoctions of non alcoholic liquids.

This place is an absolute delight for the carnivores out there, the mutton preparations are an absolute must try for all flesh hungry folks, as this place dishes out some of the most mind-numbingly tasty mutton delicacies this side of Kashmir I reckon. For the vegetarians there is a wide selection of Rajasthaani delicacies and other recipes like the Tandoori bharwan mushroom, Vilayati subziyan and the Chatpati arbi, and they are just as good as they sound.

Try the chef’s special Murg-taka-tak and be delighted in the almost ‘grandma’s recipe’ taste with a fine http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/dining/dining/http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/dining/dining twist. Chiquita Gulati, the executive chef at Spice Market has cooked up a brilliant menu which will please even the most cynical in us and leave us wanting and craving for more of Spice Market’s desi goodness.

The bottom line is that Spice Market is a place which should be on the must-try list of every food junkie out there as well as the casual weekend diners. Because there are a lot of fine diners out there but only a few are able to meet the most important requirement of any http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/dining/dining/http://varunkaushik.com/userfiles/nightOut/dining/dining experience – Good Food. And Spice Market definitely perches itself on top of that list.

This season, Allen Solly SS’10 Women’s collection is inspired by a global traveller’s style with an optimistic mood, eclectic prints and vivid colours. The brand honours the collection with a new spring summer feel by using urban elements with feminine detailing.

Silhouettes focus on soft clean lines; fuss free shapes and tosses fashion to a refined echelon. The prints are authentically chic to stick and sway into a world of class. With a fresh bright colour palette like coral, raspberry and turquoise, this collection has highlights of mint and lime. There is also beige and black from the neutral colours in the set.

Allen Solly Casual Line reflects sporty, feminine, drawing inspiration from a kaleidoscope of patterns, reinterpreting embellishment and high shine for an edgy yet feminine casual collection. Worn out casual pants with cargo detailing add the spirit. The colour combination of these casual tops interprets youth. Washed out jackets with dirty denim looks, colour that appears aged, eroded and irregular are some of the details that bring the island-stuck feel.

The City Line reflects individuality and feminine contour being a print and technique driven collection. The colour palette is primarily neutral colour based with highlights of bright shades like coral and turquoise.

This collection for IPLFW Autumn/Winter 2010 has been inspired by all things ‘Asia Minor’. The collection is called ‘ANATOLIA’ which is a geographic and historical term denoting the westernmost protrusion of Asia, comprising about two-thirds of the modern Republic of Turkey.”

The silhouettes are designed keeping with modernity, yet there are opulent excesses seen throughout the collection in one form or another. The look is bold and without fear, which is truly Rehane’s signature, with dollops of the exotic and mysterious. A modern day ‘Sherzade’ would perhaps be the best Muse for Anatolia.

The colours used for the collection are snuff, poppy, salmon, deep aqua, turkish blue and antique gold. The cuts are very structured yet complimenting the female silhouette. The fabrics used vary from jacquard to satin and velvet to georgettes.

Psytrance has always been an ever-changing beast. Psychedelic Trance Scene celebrates the culture of no barriers, the moment of progressive, morning trance and dark beats, utter weirdness and techno-trance.

These are the ideas and inspirations that have been translated into items of clothing which form Priyanka Kakkar autumn/winter 2010-11 collection for IPLFW. Inspired by electro-fused remix riveting a relaxed progressive psychedelic affair; the mood is dark and strong.

The spirit of remixes has been captured in the collection and infused with a stylized and modern feel. The styles are confusing yet luxurious, psychedelic yet deep with a definite sense of individuality and have been designed in a darker and playful colour palette. However there is an extremely modern and glamorous feel given to the creations with a sense of elegance and the proud tenderness of woman.

A flamboyantly feminine feel has been articulated in the form of modern less flared dresses pleated in silks, satins, suede and chiffons. Sharp and tailored velvet jackets, satin shirts have been teamed up with straight textured skirts. The silhouettes have been embellished with the use of variety of silk threads and textures, styled to interpret trance in the form of motifs placed in different ways. The emphasis has been on treating textiles with hand quilting and appliqué.
